Here’s what to do on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 October 2022 in the city.
For this first weekend in October, numerous events are planned to satisfy all five senses. Among these: thematic markets, crafts, art, exhibitions and meetings. Not to forget the taste: the weekend is also made up of tastings and food and wine fairs.

Opening of the exhibition “Frida Kahlo the chaos inside” at the Keep of the Citadel
A colorful journey into the chaotic existence of the Mexican painter. Saturday 1 October the exhibition will be inaugurated in the over 900 square meters of exhibition space of the Mastio della Cittadella. The thematic itinerary of the exhibition will accompany the visitor directly into the life of Frida Kahlo, celebrating her figure as a woman and as an artist. It is an interactive path with a strong sensorial impact that intends to fully involve the visitor in retracing the life, history and creativity of the artist thanks also to the use of multimedia.

Mountain Day at the National Mountain Museum
The National Mountain Museum of Turin presents the Mountain Day. A full day of events that will take shape inside the Bosco del Monte dei Cappuccini and on the Panoramic Terrace of the Museum on Saturday 1st October. The opportunity to invite the whole community to take part in the process of care and regeneration of the urban forest, a space of extraordinary importance, a place of biodiversity, a privileged environment in which and through which to rethink a creative and sustainable relationship with nature.
Oliviero Toscani in Turin Spirituality at Gallerie d’Italia
The internationally renowned photographer Oliviero Toscani together with the art critic Luca Beatrice will be guests of the Torino Spirituality event. Subversive and irreverent, Toscani has revolutionized the world of communication, influenced the customs of several generations and made people discuss social and cultural issues.

A story in your hands, market in via Carlo Alberto
Una storia tra le mani is an event created in Turin by artisans, artists and professionals of their own ingenuity who bring their products and their laboratories to the square. This Saturday it returns to via Carlo Alberto from 9.30 to 19.30.
Go to Cantine Antiche 2022
The Municipality of Carema organizes a walk in the historic center illuminated by torches and animated by musical entertainment. Objective: to visit 15 of the most characteristic and ancient wineries, where it will be possible to taste the best Carema wines and other precious wines of the area, thanks to the collaboration of local producers and companies.
- Costs: a glass + 5 tasting vouchers (€ 10.00) for wine tasting in the 15 cellars and a booklet ticket (€ 18.00) to savor the culinary specialties in 5 different locations.

San Salvario Emporium
San Salvario Emporium is now a fixed appointment for stylists, artisans, designers and illustrators from all over Italy. Emporium is located in the space that by historical tradition is used both for trade and for the meeting and aggregation of the community: Piazza Madama Cristina. The public will have the opportunity to get in touch with artisan realities and at the same time experience the neighborhood.

Piccole Storie 022-023 – Theater review for girls and boys
The children’s theater review starts again with the well-established tradition of Sunday morning dedicated to the little ones in Più SpazioQuattro, the house in the San Donato district.

Illustrators Market Exhibition – Graphic Days® at the Cavallerizza Reale
The artistic community that revolves around the Graphic Days® will meet in Cavallerizza Reale for the last weekend of the festival to meet the public and propose their works, in a festive atmosphere.
Photo exhibition at the MAO
Until October 2nd, the MAO (Museum of Oriental Art) will host “Riposo! China 1981-84 ”, a photographic exhibition that displays over 70 black and white images taken between 81 and 84, to understand a China that is disappearing. The exhibition is completed by the screening of films.
Furthermore, on Saturday 1 October at 4 pm, the appointment “The first meeting with China. With Andrea Cavazzuti and Olivio Barbieri in dialogue ”(Free admission while seats are available).
Job Film Days
The film festival on the themes of work and rights Job Film Days ends on 2 October, with screenings, events and debates. The program of the review offers projections divided into non-competitive sections dedicated to specific sub-themes, special events and masterclasses with directors who have distinguished themselves for having made films on the issues of the world of work.

The 28th edition of the Filo Lungo filo event will be held on 1 and 2 October, which gathers artisan excellence around it.
