3 Looks | Don San Juan, a culinary store that innovates in the posadeño market with new and eccentric flavors

Franco Gambini was present at 3 Miradas.

A journey, curiosity and passion for gastronomy were the driving forces behind the Don San Juan project, a culinary store in the missionary capital. Franco Gambini, owner, recalled that experience of gastronomic tourism in the lands of San Juan that encouraged him to venture into the gourmet field and bring something different to Posadas.

Don San Juan is a commercial premises located at 2715 Lavalle Avenue in the city, and which took its first steps in 2019, through online sales through social networks. The business grew and, motivated by the pandemic and seeing that people were encouraged and committed even more to change and innovate in their diet, they set up a physical place where Don San Juan could be within sight (and taste). ) from the public.

At first, the entrepreneur recalled, “there were products that we did not know about.” Learning took place along the way, and the relationship with customers and suppliers was a fundamental issue and “back and forth, which helped us a lot”, in order to learn and improve, Franco Gambini valued.

At Don San Juan, customers have the opportunity to perceive aromas and discover variations of grindings and seasonings. They can even ask for a specific ingredient, and the store takes care of getting it.

Gambini specified that the enterprise focuses on bringing those ingredients that are not available in any market or conventional store. Spices, condiments, nuts, flours and dressings, national and imported, are some of the products offered.

The objective of the Don San Juan culinary store, he stressed, is to bring within reach of the neighbor “things that, when one sees the recipes and wants to try something different, can find those ingredients.”

Beyond bringing supplies outside of what is usually consumed, Franco Gambini said that “we try to provide a service to those who like to cook and those who do not, give them the tools to expand in the kitchen.” This unique journey with food is made possible by the diverse tastes and extravagant ingredients that Don San Juan brings within the reach of the palate of Posada residents.

To learn about extravagant ingredients and try something new in the kitchen, Don San Juan is consolidated as an ideal space to venture into it. More information about the place can be found on its social networks on Instagram and Facebook, Don San Juan.

Grisel Impini in 3 Looks.

Grisel Impini is a kinesiologist by profession, although she was never satisfied with a simple title: “I kept looking for one more twist to health,” observed the businesswoman who runs Me Fitocosmética, a natural cosmetics store in Leandro N. Alem.

Her interest in health, care for the environment and natural and indigenous medicine encouraged her to try different branches until she created products with a particular stamp. This knowledge was combined to give life to the Me Fitocosmética venture, which she started in 2016.

Me Phytocosmetics “is the search to see what we put in the body,” Impini described. The objective is that, based on access to natural cosmetic products such as those offered by this business, habits can be incorporated or changed that make the life of the client and patient healthier and more eco-friendly.

Me Fitocosmética products do not have synthetic substances; They are suitable for vegans and are made from medicinal plants. “Inside these creams, there is life”, summarized Impini.

The name of the brand comes from the Guarani language, where “Me” means to be: for Grisel Impini, “that is what is important: to be. Being with the land, taking care of it, and being with one, and using the Guarani language is related to the fact that we are on their lands and for me it is to honor them”, she pointed out.

Born in Entre Ríos, the businesswoman said that she came to Misiones with her family 7 years ago, in search of more natural environments and with the aim of providing a different quality of life for her children, far from the hard cement of the Federal Capital in Buenos Aires, where he lived for 13 years.

Professional training of the businesswoman behind Me Fitocosmética

Grisel Impini graduated as a kinesiologist at the National University of Entre Ríos de Villaguay, and since then she has not stopped researching natural medicine and other alternatives for health care. It was when he came across indigenous medicine, and in this regard, he said: “I learned a lot about herbs and combinations, and this desire to do something natural comes from there, and to generate awareness that the basis (of health) is there” , valued.

To perfect himself in it, he continued his studies in Capilla del Monte, Córdoba. The red land, on the other hand, was the ideal setting to put his knowledge into practice and materialize his projects and intentions to improve the life of the community.

In Me Fitocosmética, then, her interest in health care is combined with her goal of raising awareness about what types of products, food and practices are promoted in society, where many of them are harmful.

3 Looks | “The prevention of addictions must be a commitment of each and everyone can contribute from their place,” said Samuel López, Minister of Addiction Prevention and Drug Control

Samuel López, Provincial Minister of Addiction Prevention and Drug Control, detailed how activities are carried out from the area around the prevention and containment of people in a complex consumption situation. In addition, he highlighted the importance of joint work between public and private entities to fight this problem that affects many missionary families.

The Ministry of Addiction Prevention and Drug Control, said Samuel López, head of the area, is a space for prevention and accompaniment for those who suffer from problematic substance use, and is also related to the work and guarantee of the rights of Boys, Girls and Adolescents, a group that is one of the most vulnerable and urgent to deal with this problem.

It is that drug use is observed earlier and earlier. In this regard, the minister pointed out that, in 2019, 46% of the patients receiving treatment at the Manantial de Posadas Assistance Center, a space where the Ministry is located, were children and young people between 12 and 26 years of age. Hence the relevance of working in all possible social spheres, mainly in schools, through talks and training to treat consumption at the root and raise awareness about it.

In addition to providing these activities in educational centers, López said that they work in different physical locations in the Prevention area, located in Puerto Iguazú, Oberá and the missionary capital. However, the office also has mobile care units to meet the needs in other municipalities that do not have physical spaces for treatment and support.

In this sense, the minister anticipated that there are various projects in towns such as San Pedro and San Vicente to carry out fixed care centers.

Samuel López also described what the preventive points consist of. These are containment spaces that work in Posadas, especially to treat and accompany families farthest from the city.

“Because of the reality of the suburbs, we settled in them. Now we are in a resettlement in the Sol de Misiones neighborhood where we have a physical space and we offer 18 workshops, including school support, ”he explained.

“Churches – added Samuel López – are also strategic spaces for accompaniment and listening, because we understand that spirituality is part of the process”, he considered.

Thus, the work and fight against addictions is a task and commitment of all social sectors. “We understand that prevention must be a commitment of all, and each one can contribute from their place,” he said.

The public policy agenda of the Ministry of Addiction Prevention and Drug Control is based on data and measurements on consumption and care, provided by the Provincial Drug Observatory.

To access the professional care and accompaniment offered by the area, Samuel López recalled that those who need it can approach the Manantial Assistance Center, at 1748 Comandante Rosales Avenue in the missionary capital. In other parts of the province, they can go to the offices in Iguazú and Oberá, or in the specific offices for dealing with problematic consumption in each municipality, such as in Apóstoles, Puerto Rico, Aristóbulo del Valle and Andresito.

For more information, families can contact through the Ministry’s social networks or on the web, preventiondeaddictions.misions.gob.ar. Likewise, there is a helpline through Misiones Te Escucha, available 24 hours a day: the number is 3764-172783.
