Mohammed Guerroumi. Unreason as a religion

The aggression of which Salman Rushdie was the victim, yesterday in the State of New York, gave me the need to recall this text which I had published, several months ago, on this same page.

– Islam, an obscure reflection of man? –

Obviously, Islam has long since lost its spiritual essence and its rational, philosophical substance. Remains therefore a heap of calcined ashes unfit for the evolution of man, woman, of all humanity.

The decadent image of those who are now called Islamists, but who are almost no different from those who claim to practice a moderate Islam, the horrible tragedies that have followed one another for decades throughout the world, these acts such appalling and abominable criminals committed by monsters claiming to be Muslims, jostle and torment consciences, to the point that we manage to consider this Islamic religion, which has been in the headlines for several years, like a hieratic software package that exalts, galvanizes and stimulates the most abject base instincts of man.

The origin of this deep religious drift, bringing a whole anthology of misdeeds across the centuries and spaces, takes root from the death of the Prophet Mohammed, when this cult was from then on taken hostage by hegemony and politico-despotism. military caliphal of yesteryear.

However, Islam is not a religion instituted by the Prophet Mohammed, the latter having been only the Messenger transmitter of the Koran.

“Then We revealed to you: “Follow the religion of Abraham, which was dedicated exclusively to God and was not of the number of the associators”. Koran. S16-V123

And what is the religion of Abraham, the Friend of God, if not the quest for meaning in search of the Transcendent, the spiritual journey built on rational understanding, including doubt and individual freedom, on the development intelligent of knowledge and knowledge resources, in order to investigate consciousness, build faith and heal the soul in projection of Divine Light.

In this, it seems that the Koran itself anticipated the disbelieving drift of the Muslim world, which is reluctant to spirituality while favoring orthopraxy, which grants excessive credit to so-called religious works not inspired by God and produced by men, when it is written this:

“We put veils on their hearts, so that they do not understand it and in their ears, a heaviness. And when, in the Koran, you evoke Your Unique Lord, they turn their backs in revulsion.” Koran. S17-V46.

The ostentatious orthopraxy associated with the reductive appeal of the Koran in a jurisprudential form, relegating theology to a lamentable compromise in an obsolete misdirection of thought, contribute to reinforcing the political drift of this religion.

Ideological Islam, with its share of pagan customs, degrading ancestral traditions and sectarian divisions or communal separatism, absolved of any spiritual foundation, now constitutes only the dark shadow of the religion of Abraham, thus integrating violence with criminal fatwas, exclusion, sexist segregation, rejecting modernity, all individual freedom, all free and rational thought, all democratic forms, establishing human rights based on a politico-religious code that inspires the ruin of reason and wisdom.

Therefore, the insistent desire of Western states to institutionalize Islam is tantamount to promoting the political nature of the Muslim religion in the world, to the detriment of spirituality, which can perfectly well be welcomed by democracies.
