Istituto Italiano Design dresses Mother Earth by launching a Message of Peace
Friday 24 June, at 18: 3o the Palazzo Frumentario in Assisi hosted the “Trame Terrestri” fashion show of the Italian Design Institute, which dedicates the final event of the Course of Studies to Mother Earth in the Year of Geo.
Italian Design Institute
is a private fashion academy with headquarters in Palazzo Ranieri in Perugia since 1999 and a branch in Shanghai since 2018. The Institute, included in the national top10(world top10) of the “Impact THE” classification of Times HigherEducation in London since 2020, this year received the prestigious recognition from MIUR – Ministry of University and Research – the authorization to issue 1st Level Academic Diploma in Design (DIPL02), the third private institution to do so in Italy as ISIA in the academic sector of artistic training – AFAM. “Accreditation as ISIA is in all likelihood the most difficult one to undertake, granted over the years to only two private institutions, but which at best represents the type of design training that has always inspired us.”- declares the President AnnaMaria Russo, reporting the data of the report of the Statistical Service of the Ministry of University and Research.
The Location
The Institute chose this prestigious location at the invitation of Dr. Pietro Ronca, co-organizer of the project – Economics of Tourism at the University of Perugia – who promptly imagined a synergy between the celebration of the Earth and the city of Peace. . “We are sadly witnessing moments of great uncertainty, in which the international balance is delicate and precarious. The Assisi context, dense with spirituality, fraternity, ecumenism and interreligious dialogue, will allow the creativity expressed by the students to convey a message of hope and faith, bringing a little light to those who are experiencing the difficulties of war today.“.
The Project with Umbria Jazz.
Following the show, the “Umbria Jazz Boutique” project will be presented, undertaken in cooperation with the Umbria Jazz Foundation with the aim of launching a line of niche fashion and food and wine products. The students designed a line of “UJ” branded clothing both to dress the staff and to offer to the public. The coordinated image of the food and wine department, the communication supports and commercial planning of the boutique are also studied.
The event
The event will be presented by the Head of International Relations Benedetta Risolo and curated by the Art Director Antonio Becchetti in every detail, from the initial casting to the scenography and sound design.Among the guests already confirmed, the Mayor of Assisi Stefania Proietti and the Linificio e Canapificio Nazionale, but there will also be many other prominent personalities in the world of art and entrepreneurship.
