Great call for community and social initiatives in Cali

To all the organizations that consolidate the social fabric, promote healthy coexistence, develop actions that contribute to democracy and the construction of new citizenships to strengthen not only participation but also to empower citizens, from the Secretariat of Territorial Development and Citizen Participation opens the call for the Bank of Social Initiatives.

It is intended to impact 8 community initiatives for the promotion of citizen participation, implemented in the Special District of Santiago de Cali.

The budget allocated for the implementation of each one of the community initiatives is $14,500,000, including legal taxes in accordance with the defined criteria and will be used for goods and services. The application reception system is open from September 1 to September 15, 2022.

Who can participate?

Community organizations with or without legal status, whose certificates of existence and legal representation issued by the competent entity, evidence that: a) their registration is current, b) Cali is their main domicile and they have at least one year of seniority in their registration counted from the presentation of the initiative.

Are there categories to participate?

Yes, there are 3 categories in which you can present community initiatives.

Category One: Inclusion From Potentialities.

Initiatives that favor guarantees of rights, conditions of human dignity at the individual level and strengthening of population leaderships that claim rights in terms of ethnicity (Afro-Colombians, mestizos, Raizales, indigenous). Age groups (Childhood, youth, adults, older adults), diversity from spirituality, to strengthen citizen participation. Actions

affirmative measures that stimulate the prevention of gender-based violence, incorporate citizen participation as a central axis.

Category Two: Diverse Abilities – Disabilities.

Initiatives that implement training processes with an emphasis on the recognition of diversity, which facilitate the inclusion of the population with disabilities in scenarios of citizen participation and incidence. (Mobility, cognitive, auditory, visual). Initiatives that innovate in technological terms of assistance and solidary support from different community approaches.

Category Three: Participation.

Initiatives that strengthen the social fabric from spaces for citizen participation, which start from the identification of problems, generating incidence and opportunities for transforming situations by proposing solutions agreed upon with the community. Community initiatives that lead processes of transformation of realities of violence, environmental processes that privilege self-care, care and preservation of their environments from teamwork and citizen participation.

Requirements to participate in community initiatives.

– Community organizations with or without legal status that have been constituted for at least one year.

– Organizations must certify that they have been developing social and community processes for a year.

– Have a certificate of existence and/or legal representative. As well as having the Single Tax Registry (RUT) in force and updated. If that’s the case.

– The legal representative must be of legal age.
