The solemn promise broken in 2000 years by the “son of God”

“In Jesus’ time there were no tape recorders, so we’ll never know what he really said.” This is how the provost of the Jesuits pronounced on the words attributed to Christ

Today we continue our journey through the texts of the Old and New Testaments, in search of inconsistencies, curiosities, and precisely, of things said and not verified.

At the heart of our analysis today the Gospel of Matthew, which even to a non-expert turns out to be a source of sensational nonsense and very nice details. And let’s start with the latter: did you know that Jesusrather, Joshua as we revealed last week, at the table it really was immoderate in eating and drinking? We find it in Matthew 11.19where we read: “The Son of Man came, eating and drinking, and they say: Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.“.
In this Jesus-Joshua was surpassed by what the Catholic Church tells us to be the father, Yahweh (but soon we will see that it is not so), which every day, as you can read in Numbers 28he demanded a quarter of a hin (about 0.925 litres) by shakar (translated from the Hebrew is “intoxicating drink“) in the morning and in the evening, together with abundant food, and even, at the beginning of the month, together with the sacrifice of two bullocks, a ram, seven lambs of the year, without defects, he demanded half a hin of a shakar for each of hin for the ram and a quarter of a hin for each lamb: or just over 11 liters of shakar, “intoxicating drink”! A decidedly alcoholic God this Yahweh!
Another striking curiosity, which concerns the so-called three days that preceded the resurrection of Jesus-Joshua.
Jesus, according to the Gospels, died around 3 pm on Friday, and at dawn on Sunday, when (in Matthew’s version) Mary of Magdala And “the other Mary»” they go to the tomb, it is already empty. And from 3pm on Friday to 5am on Sunday it’s not three days, but about 38 hours. A solemn stretch to create a comparison that Matteo bring back to 12.40: “For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth“.
Finally we come to the blatantly broken promise. We read it in Matthew 10,23: “When they persecute you in one city, flee to another; I tell you the truth, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel until the Son of Man comes.” Then the reinforcement in Matthew 16:28: “Truly I say to you, there are some present who will not die until they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom“.
And so Paul of Tarsus, the true inventor of Christianity, was forced to import Platonic and Neoplatonic spirituality into the fable he was creating about Jesus and to invent original sin. But we’ll talk about it next week …
