L’Parochial Parish Institute “Maria Ausiliatrice” of Luino opens its doors with a day of Open Day.
Future students will be able to visit the premises of the Institute on November 12 from 9.30 to 12.00 at the headquarters in via Sbarra for the Nursery School and the Kindergarten and at the headquarters in via Confalonieri for the Primary School and the Lower Secondary School.
At the end of the morning, at noon, the Institute is happy to invite future students and their families for a convivial moment together with an aperitif at the headquarters in via Confalonieri.
The Institute offers a stimulating and engaging environment with few classes, modular teaching based on the acquisition of skills e targeted workshops specific for age groups.
The didactic and educational action of the Institute is based on the method of the Salesian charism, therefore we refer to “Don Bosco’s Preventive System”: a pedagogical method of coexistence and communion, which allows each one to grow in a welcoming and familiar environmentwhere he can develop all his potential, acquiring new skills and walking following a clear proposal of faith.
In this sense, the Institute is a “house that welcomes” or an environment rich in confidence and familiarity in which to live the “family spirit”, a typical element of Salesian spirituality, a “school that leads to life” consisting of offering of the necessary resources so that everyone develops the skills and attitudes fundamental for life in society and a “courtyard to meet with friends and live in joy” following the indication ofexperience of the “courtyard”that is, a call to leave formal structures and to let oneself be guided by one pedagogy of joy, optimism and celebrationin a proposal of values that are realized in a more authentic and immediate way.
The school is divided into four levels starting fromNursery which offers a valid and important educational proposal to children aged 3 to 36 months, welcomed in a training environment in which they can live a multiplicity of growth experiences with welcoming and professional educational staff. The service contributes to the education and emotional, psychomotor, cognitive, moral and social development of children. It favors, in close collaboration with families and with local resources, the development and socialization of the child, safeguarding their rights and needs.
There Primary schoolon the basis of ministerial indications, sees prepared a annual educational project, with a clear and well-defined theme, which characterizes the educational activities including the decoration of the classrooms and other areas of the school. The activities stimulate the natural curiosity of children in interacting with schoolmates and teachers. The laboratory activities, such as the pre-graphing with specialized teachersthe psychomotor skills with specialist teacher in Motor Sciencesthe approach to the language english, music, singing and, new this year, lo yoga.
The Kindergarten and the Kindergarten are located in the branch in via Sbarra 3A.
There Primary School it has large, modern and very bright classrooms. In addition to the main teachers for each class, the school offers, starting from this school level, specialist teachers for the subjects of English, movement, religion, music and singing.
In addition to the normal teaching activity according to the ministerial guidelines, the Institute activates annual workshops minibasketball, theater, IT, tennis, guitar, cinema and swimming pool as well asgoodwill to German and ai courses for certifications Cambridge Starters and Cambridge Movers.
The project CLIL with specialized teacher: every week one of the subjects including science, geography, art, information technology and technology is held in English. This brings the curricular time to three hours a week of English already starting from primary school.
There Lower secondary school operates, in harmony with the principles of the Constitution and ministerial legislation, keeping the Christian approach firmly, placing the accent on the centrality of the person.

At the end of the lesson time, the students can take advantage of (for three afternoons a week) an additional hour of teacher-assisted study or of laboratories such as choir, sports laboratory, chemistry and biology, Latin, English conversation with a mother tongue teacher or the English language course intended for the achievement of the prestigious certification Cambridge Ket.
A study week abroad is also foreseen for secondary school III.
