OPENING OF THE CHURCH OF SAN GENNARO REDECORATED BY SANTIAGO CALATRAVA

Friday, Saturday and Sunday open from 10.00 to 16.00 with last entry at 15.30

Reopened in July 2021, after 50 years, thanks to theartistic intervention by Calatravathe Church of San Gennaro in the Real Bosco shows all the versatility and genius of the artist who, for the first time, measures himself with porcelain, a different and much more sophisticated technique compared to ceramics, learned in the Spanish town of Manises, where the artist creates his great works in ceramics.
In the Church of San Gennaro Calatrava, making use of the excellent local artistic workers (the Royal Factory of Capodimonte for porcelain, which is located right in front of the Church, the silks of San Leucio and the artistic windows of Vietri sul Mare) gives the Chapel a new spirituality linked to the elements of nature: the flowers and leaves of the Real Bosco di Capodimonte.
The Church will be open except in adverse weather conditions.
