Poems in the shadow of the tower – Thursday 16 June, from 7 pm until midnight, the evening of presentation of the book of poems and photographs “Pensieri” (Edizioni Piovani) will be held in the art studio of Riccardo Stellini.
Title of the evening: “Poetry in the shadow of the tower”, where by tower we mean one of the most characteristic buildings of the Milanese hinterland, the TIM tower of Rozzano, known to all for its 187 meters of height.
The contents of the evening will be an engaging mix of creativity: professional actors (including Stefania Ristori and Alberto Bonavia) will take the stage, wearing the characteristic clothes of Alfred Ejlli’s “Atelier Regjna” while they will recite the most exciting poems of Italian literature. and some pills from the book Thoughts.
Guests will be accompanied and pampered by the kitchen of chef Domenico Santoro of “Eatafit Milano”, who makes the “made to measure” the most peculiar and curious feature of his cuisine; the musical accompaniment will be performed by the skilled hands of the pianist Ettore Bove.
One of the objectives of the event is to bring to Rozzano, a neighborhood known for its proven social difficulties, a cross-section of human depth, urban spirituality, art and sharing.
Through the presentation of his book, Stellini wants to tell about himself and confront himself publicly with love, the female figure and loneliness, unhinging himself from the fearful brain-shaming he undergoes, given his profession known to many: model.
Riccardo Stellini was born in Florence on 13 September 1988.
Curious, rebellious, perfectionist, Riccardo was fascinated by the complexity of matter even as a child: he disassembles and reassembles objects and silently observes their components.
But nothing catches his attention more than deep space and its celestial bodies.
Fascination that already seems to contain the seeds of future research inside and outside of itself.
It grows in a vivid and dynamic cultural environment.
At the age of 10, on the advice of his father, he starts practicing the game of water polo which will accompany him until the age of 26: at 19 he made his debut in the Italian top flight (Serie A).
The sporting environment shapes him physically and morally, and at the same time makes him increasingly sensitive and eager for new experiences.
It is enough for him to accidentally come across the thought of Paul Morand to understand what is the first step to take: “To travel is to be unfaithful, be it without remorse”.
Thus, from the age of 25, still very young but now wrapped in Wanderlust, he made long journeys around the world.

In these years he often comes into contact with painters, musicians and eclectic photographers, who portraying him in his spontaneity, make him notice a certain ease in posing and acting in front of the camera.
Fascinated by the feeling of being able to express himself with and through the body, once he returned to Italy, he took his first steps in the world of fashion, followed by a historic agency in Florence, Esprit Management, with the desire to start a career, in the role of model, which will have greater development once it moves to Milan, collaborating with major brands such as, for example, MC Donald, Kymco, Mediaset, Mercedes.
The years spent familiarizing himself with all the roles on the set push him to finally confront his own creativity. So in a lonely summer, at the age of 28, he prepares his first artistic project, “New contemporary nature”, using different materials: wood, metals and fabrics at first, polystyrene glass and Perspex later.
Riccardo realizes how the essential is never regression or impoverishment, but the joyful emergence of an intimate beauty, primitive but wonderfully complex.
Thus he began to dialogue with the world of art, passing from painting to photography and poetry, with which he won the certificate of merit of the “Michelangelo Buonarroti” competition in 2021 thanks to his book entitled “Pensieri” ( Mondadori).
In the first years of artistic research, he exhibited some of his works in collective and personal exhibitions in Florence: Galleria Biagiotti, Casa di Dante, Giardino Buonamici and Limonaia di Villa Strozzi the most significant.
An art studio opens in Milan where he lives and works, exhibits and organizes free events and workshops, convinced that art can only exist by sharing a cathartic moment.
Deeply empathetic, endowed with a great imaginative baggage, and thirsty for knowledge, he constantly seeks inspiration and sharing.
Egocentric and ambitious, Riccardo does not dedicate himself to an idea or a project if he does not consider them crazy.
