The next Two days Gatal is scheduled at the Ambrosian Pastoral Center in Seveso (via San Carlo 2), Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 October. It is the traditional appointment, with which the Gatal opens the theatrical season of the amateur dramatics of the Diocese, after two years of pause and difficulties caused by the pandemic, and prepares the events that will characterize the new social year.
The first meeting of theatrical amateurs at the Salesianum in Tavernola (Como) dates back to 1968, which kicked off this particular initiative under the guidance of Monsignor Lorenzo Longoni, the great priest and reference point of the Ambrosian amateur theater. This year the training experience will be accompanied by a practical activity of laboratory creativity and direct involvement of the participants.
«They will be two fascinating days, fully dedicated to the theater – underlines Michele Faracci, president of Gatal -, with the aim of discovering our personal potential and achieving a qualitative improvement of our performances. Furthermore, in addition to the technical purposes that can lead us to a more vital and dignified theater, it is not to be underestimated the important opportunity to find ourselves with sincere esteem and availability among friends who have the same intentions and live them with deep passion. It is a chance to network and reciprocally transmit experiences and collaborations ».
The Two Days ideally refers to that of ten years ago, which was metaphorically entitled “The toolbox”. «I was impressed by this apt title, which I often remember with pleasure – confesses Faracci -, because each of us has had his own toolbox that he uses to make theater. And the Two Days of ten years ago was conducted by the actor and director Felice Invernici, a valuable professional, the same host of the Two Days of this year ».
The invitation to all is therefore to participate in an initiative that promises to be intense, serene and certainly enriching.
