The award ceremony of the Italian Video Game Awardsheld last night as opening night of First Playable saw the announcement of the long-awaited winners of the tenth edition of the prestigious award, as well as some special contents of the most interesting Italian productions to be released in the coming months.
The event, broadcast in streaming on the channel Twitch from First Playablewas conducted this year by two exceptional international hosts such as Elle Osili-Wood And Aoife Wilson. The winners were selected by a jury of experts and professionals from the international gaming industry composed of: Rami Ismailindependent developer and consultant; Hollie Bennett, Head of Influencers & Engagement from Frontier Developments; Jon Goddard, Senior Director of Corporate Brand & Communications at Lockwood Publishing; Richie Shoemakereditor of MCV / DEVELOP; Sam Loveridge, Global Editor-in-chief from GamesRadar; Vikki Blakefreelance journalist who collaborates with BBC, Eurogamer, GamesIndustry.biz, MTV And PC Gamer.

Best Italian Game – Hot Wheels Unleashed by Milestone
Video game of car racing of 2021 developed and published by Milestone for Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S and is based on the Hot Wheels toy line made by Mattel. It was released on September 30, 2021.
Best Innovation – Martha is Dead by LKA
Dark psychological thriller in the first person set in 1944 Italy that blurs the boundaries between reality, superstition and the tragedy of war.
Best Italian Debut – Vesper by Cordens Interactive
Puzzle platform developed by the Italian studios of Cordens Interactive and published by Deck13 Spotlight. The title, arriving on July 30, 2021, transports the user to an alien planet full of dangers and puzzles to be solved by interpreting Sevena small android abandoned on this world dominated by the structures left by an ancient civilization now extinct.

Outstanding Individual Contribution – Ivan Venturi
Born in the 70s Ivan Venturi is an Italian entrepreneur and video game author. He was a prominent figure in the heyday of Italian industry. In 2012 he has founded IV Productions, a videogame activity for consoles and smartphones.
The aim of the evening was to celebrate and promote made in Italy video games, for once turning the spotlight on Italian excellence to promote their international popularity. For this reason, in addition to the celebration of the winners, during the event it was also possible to attend a showcase with exclusive trailers and videos of some of the most interesting productions in development:

Representatives of three studios featured in the showcase were the protagonists of a chat on stage with Aoife Wilson where it was possible to discover some curiosities about the studies and games in progress: Giuseppe Franchi, Co-Founder & Lead Game Designer from 34BigThings shared new details on Redout 2; Giacomo Masi, Narrative Director of Stormind Games he presented Batora: Lost Heaven; Fabio Pagetti, Creative Director of Reply Game Studios gave some sneak peeks on Soulstice.
