Tourist training in Junín de los Andes with the presence of an expert from the Nation

The provincial Ministry of Tourism dictated a Workshop on “Attention to Visitors” in Junín de los Andes as part of the Formar Seal carried out by the Ministry of Tourism of the Nation. The meeting was held at the Salesian Spirituality Center. Some 40 people from different local tourism sectors participated.

The activity was attended by the local Secretary of Tourism, Alicia Ruíz, and the member of the team of the Directorate of Tourism Training of the Ministry of Tourism of the Nation, Marina Miguez.

Ruiz thanked the provincial Ministry of Tourism for the training and assured that “it is essential that they send us new training proposals that help the development of tourism.” He added that “tourist information, museum, Vía Christi theme park and cleaning staff participated, who are constantly consulted by tourists about the services offered by the town.”

Regarding the expectations of the season, he anticipated that “they are very good and that for the coming long weekend there is more than 60 percent reservation in accommodation.” He referred to last winter season and said that “it was excellent.”

In turn, Miguez indicated that “Neuquén participates in the program through its own proposal (Attention to Visitors) and we try to accompany, generate new proposals and strengthen the technical teams.”

It is worth mentioning that the Nation specialist attended the workshop in order to evaluate the process of setting up, planning and practicing the courses carried out by the training area of ​​the Ministry of Tourism in order to be distinguished as such.

“We believe that in each workshop there must be a methodology where mobilizing dynamics are used and played where knowledge is built together with the participants,” explained Miguez.

Finally, he pointed out that “this workshop goes through an audit so that it can later be formally distinguished with the Formar Seal.”

In the conference, knowledge and techniques were provided to strengthen human resources in tourism, in order to improve the quality of services and information provided. In this sense, emphasis was placed on guaranteeing reliable and satisfactory travel experiences for visitors who travel through the province.

Among the objectives, it was taken into account that the audience can understand and value tourism as an activity that generates benefits, understand themselves as part of the tourist activity and discover themselves as generators of memorable experiences in tourism based on the quality of care.

The workshop, which has been taking place in various locations, is divided into three theoretical and practical modules in which the following thematic axes are addressed: What is attention?; What does it refer to?; Who is our visitor?; Tourist Profile; How would we like to be treated?; Why is quality of care important? and the Tools to provide quality care and communication to guarantee the quality of the service.

The activity is carried out through the Tourism Training and Training program of the Ministry. It is part of the Provincial Tourism Plan- Strategic Guidelines 2022-2023, established in accordance with the Strategic Plan for Sustainable Tourism Development Neuquén 2030.
