Great music, culture, gastronomy and spirituality. One-of-a-kind events that place the city of Paola among the most sought-after destinations for the Christmas holidays. It was presented during a press conference in the council chamber “Francesco Lo Giudice” of the town hall of the city of Paola, the program of Christmas events scheduled from 8 December until the end of the holidays. During the press conference, the Deputy Mayor of Paola, with responsibility for Tourism and events, spoke Maria Pia Serrano; the councilor for public education, Stephanie Mirafiori; Dr Giusi FerraraOrganizational Director, of theOrfeo Stillo Musical Association and San Francesco di Paola Mediterranean Orchestra; Santa Claus Calabria, Dominic Cannizzaro; the President of the Pro Loco of Paola, Marcellus Lamberti; the Provincial President of the Pro Loco, Dr. Antonello Grosso LaValle; And Lucrezia DiBlasientertainment manager.
A meeting rich in content that highlighted the vast program put in place, which Frwill project the city of Paola to play an epicentric role in the winter events of the coming weeks. Great satisfaction expressed by Deputy Mayor Serranò, who declared: «We thank the many exponents of civil society and the world of associations who have done their utmost to create synergistic inter-institutional relationships. It will be a Christmas dedicated to cohesion and collaboration. We have implemented a program that works in this direction also thanks to the reopening of symbolic places for our community. Our hope is that from this Christmas onwards, in Paola we will no longer have lowered shutters ».
The councilor Mirafiori echoes them, underlining: «The municipal administration intends to propose a series of initiatives which envisage the active involvement of local schools, with an eye to the little ones». Dr. Ferrara’s invitation is also important: «We have thought of three different concerts, which include the presence of wide-ranging artists. We will close the year with a transversal show capable of involving different audiences with a vast repertoire.
The slogan “At Christmas we dress up for the holidays” indicates the great desire of the city of Paola to celebrate Holy Christmas in harmony, without leaving anyone behind.
Among the most evocative events, undoubtedly i three concerts organized in collaboration with the musical association “Orfeo Stillo”, which starting tomorrow – December 9th – at the Odeon Theater, they will see artists of thickness such as David Algnafamous violinist of international renown, the master Michael Nittiwhich in the evening of December 18th will perform with his orchestra at the Regional Sanctuary of San Francesco di Paola, and the very famous Rob Facchinettiunforgettable voice of the Pooh who will hold his show at the Odeon Theater on the evening of December 30thone stage dedicated to the memory of the late Francesco Sansostrimajority municipal councilor who passed away suddenly last July.
The result of the synergy established between the municipal administration and the associations present in the area, the program has been declined in various areas, from that strictly reserved for spectacular entertainment, to that relating to food and wine tours that will see the Pro loco at the forefront on the organizational front, for a series of events which – undoubtedly – will represent moments of conviviality which the city, after the last few years of restrictions, badly needed.
