Cocoon, Sunday 4 September at the Little Bethany the Feast of Creation

Hear the voice of creation is the theme and invitation of this year’s Time of Creation which begins on 1st September with the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation and ends on 4th October with the feast of St. Francis.

It is a special time for everyone to pray and take care of our common home together. This time, originally inspired by the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople, is an opportunity to cultivate ecological conversion, as a response to the ecological catastrophe heralded by St. Paul VI as early as 1970.

This is the reason why SUNDAY 4 SEPTEMBER at 4 pm at the Little Bethany Spirituality Center in Bozzolo, not only the Beginning of the Time of Creation will be celebrated, but also the FESTIVAL OF CREATION AND CREATURES (or The People’s Day) in which the representatives and members of the Interconfessional and Interreligious Communities of the territory are invited to participate, but also non-believers, without any preclusion, as all are united by being creatures intrinsically connected to the entire Creation and intimately linked to its destiny. .

The Laudato Si communities of Viadana and Marcaria, as a tradition for several years, have taken this precious opportunity to offer a moment of reflection but also of joy and conviviality to all those who feel this ecological sensitivity and wish to mature “the loving awareness of not to be separated from other creatures, but to form a wonderful universal communion with the other beings of the universe “(LS_220)

Precisely to underline the openness and welcome to all and all those who, in the territory, wish to dedicate their energies to the care of the Common Home to achieve a true integral ecology through the training and information activities promoted as part of their activity, the Laudato Si communities of Viadana and Marcaria have decided to change their name to COMMUNITA ‘LAUDATO SI’ OGLIO-PO with the intention of being inclusive and constructive and therefore broadening the scope of action to the whole area.

At the celebration, which includes the intervention of Don Roberto Fiorinitheological consultant of the Catholic side of the Ecumenical Activities Secretariat of Mantua, on the document of Pope Francis for the Time of Creation 2022, will participate with a brief reflection on the theme The cry of the earth and creatures: listen to the voice of creation the representatives of the various religious communities; of course also the parish priests of the local communities (diocesan area 5, but not only) who believe in the culture of closeness and encounter (FT n.28) are also invited and at the end there will be a sober convivial moment with the tasting of specialties prepared by the various religious communities that took part.
