Today, launch of the poems ‘The Verses of the Walker’

Today is a special day for the Samaria culture, because one of its illustrious sons, the writer, lawyer and journalist Rafael Araújo Gámez, will launch his new collection of poems ‘The Wayfarer’s Verses’. The act will take place in the National Bookstore of the West, in the capital of Valle del Cauca.

This cultural event will begin at 7:00 p.m., where not only will the author of this outstanding collection of poems be present, but Manuel Francisco Becerra and Felipe Ossa Domínguez will also participate as offerers.

The collection of poems ‘Los Versos del Caminante’ contains a representative sample of the poetry of the prolific writer and journalist for radio, press and television, Rafael Araújo Gámez, a native of Santa Marta, who has developed his professional career in the city of Cali.

The romantic spirit that inhabits this work seems to be heading towards worlds more conducive to illusion and hope, and beauty is glimpsed in the right word to describe the feeling.

In his poetry one can find the secret path of the lost ideal in the traffic of a robotic world, where steel and concrete have drowned the flower.

Among many other themes, in the poems of Rafael Araújo Gámez the beloved is evoked with sweet songs that elegantly allude to the beauty of her body and to secret paradises, where eroticism is a magical expression that allows the reader to travel in a cosmic ecstasy beyond where stars are born.

“We are saved, if there is still love and with it, the poetry that sings and praises it. Because love gently subdues the heart, to that music of the soul, establishing in our being the hegemony of feeling over the howl of instinct”. This is the lyrical atmosphere that the reader will find in the collection of poems ‘Los Versos del Caminante’.

But, in addition, in each of the poems the conceptual clarity with which the writer shows his approach to love, to friendship, to daily life, to the hope of having a better future in terms of his vital journey in this world is noted. that today overwhelms us with its daily noise and its lack of spirituality.

It is necessary that we approach another way of looking at the soul and there is nothing better than poetry, because it encompasses all the tasks that love plays in our lives and in this collection of poems ‘Los Versos del Caminante’ it is condensed, through the rhymes that feeling of love life that we must preserve as a premise of our actions.

Reading this book leads us to thank that there are still writers who are dedicated to writing poetry, because it transports us to other areas of the soul and heart as this collection of poems does.
