To improve its attractiveness to its national and international visitors, Ouezzane is the subject of a new operation of embellishment and maintenance of its districts and alleys intra and extra muros. In this sense, city officials and municipal councilors have chosen local colors specific to Dar Dmana to embellish the facades of houses and buildings in the city. Very active in the promotion of tourism and the preservation of the historical character of Ouezzane, the Association Ouezzane verte du tourisme et du développement durable (AOVTDD) was selected through its project for the embellishment and development of green spaces and districts of the old medina, within the framework of the “Awrach” programme.

This operation will cover, thanks to other projects approved by the provincial commission relating to this government program for the promotion of employment, all the components of the city. To enhance its tourist potential, Ouezzane opts for “white and olive green for its facades and alleys in order to distinguish itself from other tourist towns. These two colors will serve as a means of communication dedicated to the promotion of the territorial brand of Ouezzane”, explained Salim Kaidi, while expressing the commitment of the AOVTDD to contribute to the success of this project aimed at creating employment and to promote “the development of the local tourist offer”.

In accordance with the decisions taken concerning the unification of the color for the different areas of Ouezzane, white will be used there for the facades of houses and buildings, olive green for their doors and windows.
With the exception of cultural and historical sites as well as institutions and commercial branches known by the unification of their color at the national level. Note that for post-Covid economic recovery in Ouezzane, representatives of local authorities, municipal councils and professional actors are betting a lot on the assets and tourist potential of the spiritual city of Ouezzane and the richness and beautiful landscapes of the sites. nature and mountains to enable it to position itself among the places of choice for national and international tourists.

Among the projects and actions carried out for the promotion of the destination of Ouezzane, is the installation in the city center and in giant letters of “I love Ouezzane”, a new tourist brand of Dar Dmana.
Mention should also be made of the Annual Scientific Congress on the challenges of the tourism sector, the work of the first edition of which recently focused on the implementation of a set of marketing strategies aimed at making the province a popular destination for lovers of cultural heritage and nature.
