It will be a holiday weekendthe one arriving at Brebbia on the occasion of the patronal feast of the Saints Peter and Paul. The square in the heart of the Municipality of Medio Verbano, where there is a real historical and cultural jewel such as the Romanesque church dating back to the seventh century, will be animated for three days, from Friday 24 to Sunday 26 June.
Music, games for children and shows, all between a plate of mixed fried food and another based on polenta thanks to the presence of the food stand that every day will offer a different menu from the previous one.
To kick off the dance, Friday 24 (21:30)it will be there musical concert in the name of the pioneers of prog; In fact, a tribute to the English and Italian bands that have made rock history such as PFM, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Orme, Genesis and King Crimson is expected.
The Saturday instead it will be dedicated to the greatest of playwrights: William Shakespeare. In the gardens of Villa Terzoli the timeless will be staged at 9 pm Romeo and Juliet for the direction and interpretation by Silvia Priori and Roberto Gerboles, in case of rain the show, a free entrywill be held at the Don Macchi school auditorium.
Double instead the appointment for Sunday 26. Inside the church the notes of the harp and the violin will resound for one “Musical journey in Europe” while in the nearby gardens of the Villa Terzoli there will be installations by Roberto Sala from the name “Sounds at stake”, a nice and creative way of approaching music
«The” day of the saints “or” patronal feast “in its origin was meant to be festive dayin which people stopped working to make room for moments of spiritual, family and social life – explains the municipal administration led by the mayor Alessandro Magni -. At the center of the festival there was the Holy Mass and the procession in honor of the Saint or Patron Saints with the almost total participation of the Community. It was a moment of socialization that allowed man to give space to spirituality and sociality, through manifestations of joy and jubilation, interrupting the monotony and worries of everyday life. Let’s try to recover that past, making our country feast possible, participating in large numbers and committing ourselves to celebrate the memory of our patron saints“.
