From December 2, lots of music and appointments
The Christmas period is approaching and the municipal administration is preparing to illuminate the city with decorations, lights and numerous events including music, theatre, markets and attractions open to all.
A calendar to be discovered and in constant evolution that will be inaugurated ideally Friday 2 December at 18.00 with Ready, Steady… Christmas!, the official switching on of the Christmas lights in the streets of the centre. Lights throughout the city, the usual starry sky in Piazza Garibaldi and many new features such as the giant luminous Santa Claus in Piazza Garibaldi and a mapping in Piazza del Duca.
The Christmas Village – Christmas Market at the Foro Annonario, the ice skating rink in Piazza del Duca and the Radio Arancia Network Natale On Air station in Piazza Saffi will also turn on with the lights, active every day until 8 January. Marzocca Christmas Festival will also be back with markets and entertainment for children on 11-18-24 December and 6 January.
It will be a Christmas full of music with lots of appointments proposed by local associations that will range from tradition to great international music. Among these we point out the two appointments included in the concert season SENIGALLIA CONCERTI. The first will be Gleamings of peace on 4 December at 21.00 in the church of Santa Maria della Neve (church of Portone), concert with free admission with the polyphonic choir “Città di Tolentino” and the Italian Saxophone Quartet. Big party then with The Washington Gospel Singers in the afternoon of December 25th at 18.00 at the Teatro La Fenice for an explosion of joy and spirituality.
There are many events suitable for the whole family. The countdown to the new year will be held in Piazza Garibaldi on Saturday 31 December starting at 11.15 pm, with musical entertainment that will involve passersby through a repertoire of Italian and international music.
The Befana will be the protagonist of an engaging circus show, the “Circo Zoè”. Fun and acrobatics on Friday 6 January at the Teatro La Fenice. For this event there is an entrance fee, 5.00 euros.
