Norway, Louise as Harry

Märtha Louise, 51, daughter of King Harald V of Norway, is 4th in line to the throne

It is not known whether it was the angels who advised her. She swears to speak to us every day and a few years ago she founded a school to help people connect with their heavenly guardians. Original type, Märtha Louise, so eccentric that she abandoned the title of princess of Norway for the love of a shaman with whom she practices alternative medicine.

Louise, 51, is the daughter of King Harald V of Norway. Fourth in the line of succession to the throne after her brother Haakon and her two children, Ingrid and Sverre, she has decided that real life is not for her since she met the African American Durek Verrett, a sort of holy man who according to the local press promotes practices unfounded medicines.

“Princess Märtha Louise is giving up her role (like Harry and Meghan, ed) while together with Mr. Verrett they try to clearly distinguish their activities from the Royal House of Norway,” reads a note from the Palace. Despite the announcement, King Harald described Verrett as ‘exceptional and very entertaining. He has a great sense of humor and we laugh a lot, even in this difficult moment ».

Princess Louise said she was “aware of the importance of research-based knowledge, but believes alternative medicine can be important in supporting and supplementing the conventional medical establishment. “It’s important to distinguish between me as a private person on the one hand and as part of the royal family on the other.”

Louise, in 2002, had married the Danish writer Ari Behn, with whom she had three daughters. They divorced in 2017 and Behn, who had confessed to suffering from depression, died by suicide on Christmas Day 2019. Last June, the princess became engaged to Verrett. And she announced the relationship in an Instagram post. “To those of you who feel the need to criticize, it’s not for you to choose for me or judge me,” she wrote. «Shaman Durek is simply a man with whom I love to spend my time and who satisfies me».

Despite the premise, in Norway the couple was criticized by many, with Verrett being described as “a charlatan, a fraudster and a conspiracy theorist”. Not exactly compliments. Former Prime Minister Erna Solberg described her views as “very strange and not based on fact”.

Verrett, portrays himself as a “sixth generation shaman”, and revealed that he was resurrected and that he predicted the 9/11 attacks in the US two years in advance, two years before they took place. Furthermore, he claimed that the criticisms he faces are due to racism, saying that he has never experienced as much racial hatred as he did when he arrived in Norway.

Without false modesty he compared himself to Albert Einstein and Thomas Edison, arguing that like him they were “misunderstood geniuses”. On his website, he describes himself as a “modern-age visionary who demystifies spirituality,” influencing actresses Gwyneth Paltrow and Nina Dobrev, among others.

A poll released in September found that only 13% of Norwegians thought Princess Louise should represent the royal family at official functions. She has decided. Verrett, for her bravery, gave her a ring made from a “magical” Viking shield.
