Celebrate the Summer Solstice with these ideas and rituals

1) Pay homage to the Sun.

There are several ideas around the Sun considered the center of the celebration:

  • Draw a beautiful sun like a mandala and put in its rays some positive phrases.
  • Have a good time in the daylightletting it permeate the body with its energy.
  • Take a bath with water energized by the sun. Put water in a glass container and some flowers, and put it in a window or garden where it receives light. Use it to wash your hands or take a bath thinking about how it opens the paths.
  • Create an altar with yellow or gold candles, flowers and stones, as well as fruits associated with abundance: tangerines and apples. Burning incense or palo santo would be very appropriate for that altar.
  • Make a campfire. The best thing would be that you can do it in an open space where it is allowed, such as the sea. It is a good time to gather with friends and dance around the fire.

2) Make a flower crown as an offering to nature.

Spring is saying goodbye, so it’s a nice time to pick flowers from the garden, the street or buy them and make a wreath with them. The best thing is that you can use it and refresh whatever is in your path with the rich aroma.

3) Plant a plant.

Everything that is started on this day is destined to grow. So you can:

  • plant a new plant in a garden or in a flowerpot.
  • tidy up the gardenRemove dead flowers and dry or damaged leaves.
  • fertilize the plantsplace manure or fertilizer on them.
  • Water the garden and the plants.

4) Meditate.

  • Just relax. Take some time alone to relax, become aware of the here and now, and connect with your inner self. Surround yourself with thoughts of peace, spiritual growth, and positivity.
  • Practice meditation. Light some incense, sit on the floor, close your eyes and meditate.
  • Do yoga. Like meditation, yoga helps balance body and mind.

5) Rearrange your life.

  • Decree. Take a paper and pencil and write down the things you want to let go of. Burn it and throw it on the ground. Then write on a new piece of paper the new purposes you want in your life.
