Concerts, shows, workshops, DJ sets and much more. From 27 August to 5 September, Piazza Duomo becomes the main stage of the Settembre Prato è Spettacolo Festival, now in its seventh edition, organized by Fonderia Cultart in collaboration with the Municipality of Prato. In addition to the major events that will be held in Piazza Duomo, which will return to full capacity, the Festival includes many events dedicated to the public of all ages: workshops for children, DJ sets on the terrace of the Palazzo Pretorio museum, in the theaters and gardens of the city. Tv Prato is media partner of the Festival.
It starts on August 27 with the rapper Gemitaiz. RA man born in 1988, he is today one of the most followed and respected rappers on the Italian hip hop scene. He will present his new album “Eclissi”. On the 28th the singer-songwriter’s summer tour will stop at the Santa Lucia Amphitheater Margaret Vicar. On 29 August at 21 in Piazza Duomo appointment with the only one Italian date for Australians Wolfmother and the Hardcore Superstars opening set. On the 30th they will go on stage Valerio Lundini & I Vazzanikki while on 2 September he arrives in Prato Saint John with his “Falling fly tour. On the 3rd the square will be transformed into an exceptional nightclub with DJ Time. On the 4th it will be the turn of the concert by Achille Lauro, who will stage a completely new show, from the arrangements to the costumes even declined in two new versions: in some appointments, including the one in Prato, he will be accompanied by the Electric Orchestra, while in others the public will be able to see him in another guise discovering the rock band version with its original lineup. On the 5th at 21.15 the appointment with the concert returns with free admission subject to availability of seats in the orchestra Comrade Instrumental city of Prato entitled “A Symphony for the Ukraine directed by Christopher Franklin. On the 6th he arrives at Villa Guicciardini in Cantagallo Loredana Berte with his “Manifesto Summer Tour 2022”.
Numerous events are also scheduled throughout the city and beyond. Of note on 5 September at 21 at Villa Guicciardini Vasco Brondi with “Loud prayers. Spiritual things and distorted guitars”, concert on the occasion of the Economy and Spirituality Festival organized by the TuttoèVita Association. A special project in support of the Borgo Tutto èVita construction project.
And then again the DJ sets at Palazzo Pretorio, the initiatives in various gardens of the city. In the courtyard of the Textile Museum on 7 September at 9.30 pm space for “It’s all Cecco’s fault – first study”by and with Stefano Simmaco, Fabio Giuliani, Niccolò Storai. After the success of 2021 in Piazza dell’Università and in the square of the Playground del Serraglio, a performance area dedicated to emerging artists from the Prato area will be set up on 10 and 11 September.
