Reykon is one of the most recognized Colombian singers in the urban genre industry, among other things, because he was the first reggaeton player in this country to record together with the legend Daddy Yankee and for popularizing songs like ‘La Santa’ and ‘Sin fear’ at the time.
However, in the midst of so much success that he achieved during that time, when he was barely 23 years old, he also knew the excesses and their consequencesbecause he did not know how to make the best decisions.
This is how he himself exposed it through an interview he gave for the magazine Vea, in which he admitted that there was a moment in his life when things did not turn out as expected.
“When I bring back moments from the past, I bring them with a lot of love. There are characters, without mentioning names, who were financially well off all their lives, so when success caught up with them, it wasn’t something strange for them, they were already used to it. I am a poor person from a neighborhood, I am a poor person whose economic scarcity was great, I never had anything and from one moment to another I had everything, there was a very strong change in my life, ”he explained.
Despite this difficult time, Reykon admits that he knew how to cope with the situation and, also thanks to spirituality, managed to “reborn” in his career and create new opportunities.
“When I look at my career and there are people who ask me why I am not at the point where X or Y is, knowing that you were a pioneer, I always look at it as if God had to give me those stops along the way because I let excesses entered my life, that in my life there were things that I was doing wrong. If you win, you don’t learn, you learn when you lose, that helped me a lot, I’m very happy, I feel ready for whatever comes, “added the reggaeton player in his conversation with Vea.
His daughter Violeta has also been key to “landing” fame and success, because although she was born 12 years ago and had to live with him through her most difficult timesalso warns that she is his source of inspiration and the one who accompanies him at certain times, since the little girl normally lives with her mother.
In addition, the musician from Antioquia assured that the girl motivates him to move forward and show his best facet, not only as an artist, but as a person.
“When my daughter was born, I did La Santa, and she got what I mentioned earlier and today I see how I have a great opportunity. I have never been a bad father, I have always been there, I have been a present father, but today I am more aware of what I can live with her and I enjoy it too much, “Reykon concluded.
Now, the paisa singer is focused on showing his new project entitled ‘Bandidos’a song with urban rhythms and a story that talks about the chemistry that exists between two people with totally different social circles.
The video clip of the song, directed by Magia Beatz, was shot in the city of Medellín and had the participation of people very close to the artist.
