M.ontesarchio: Hinterland, Biancardi’s artistic performance is denounced. It took place on Saturday evening, October 22, at the enchanting location of walker delle Clarisse in Montesarchio, “Hinterland” the multimedia performance, conceived by the artist photographer Peppe Biancardi in which the actor Beppe Barile, the guitarist Giovanni Raucci, the voiceover Marcella Miro took part while the lights and sounds were entrusted to Domenico Cioffi.

Involved the public

Introduced by the councilor for culture Morena Cecere and by the president of the Proloco Nicolino Tontoli, the show certainly involved the audience.

A demographic and identity crisis is now hitting the internal areas of our beautiful country. Even in the Sannio the depopulation of the places hits heavily to the detriment of small towns and rural areas that see the younger generations leave in search of that work arrangement that they cannot find in their native places.

This is why “Entroterra” was born, a performative show that through visual images, poetic texts, music and lights wants to underline this youthful exodus. Once again art becomes a denunciation, it becomes a message, it becomes a vehicle to emphasize the loneliness of the places and of those who remain, having lost its identifying role in favor of an urban homologation that makes each life distant from the others. The indifference that comes out of it saddens the hearts for what is no longer memory, for what is lost in memories and emotions.

“Hinterland” is accusation but at the same time it is a desire to return to the soul of the places, to the womb of mother earth, a retracement of the spiritual origins of all creation and of our humanity.

Harmony between text and images

The artistic moments are staged in a whirlwind of poignant visual images that flow in harmony with the declaimed poetic texts. To bring us back to the reality of the problem it seems the sound of guitar electricity that seems to want to push all of us to meditate on this phenomenon that seems unsolvable in modern society.
