ENSEMBLE SPOLTORE OPENS WITH SCREWABLE ENZO AND PEPPE SERVILLO

SPOLTORE – Everything is ready for the fortieth edition of Spoltore Ensemble which will be held from Tuesday 16 August to Sunday 21 in the heart of the village. Largo San Giovanni, as every year, will host the shows of the art and culture review organized by the Municipality and directed by the maestro Angelo Valori.

To open the festival, on Tuesday 16 August, the concert of Enzo Avitabile And Peppe Servillo which will acoustically retrace their most iconic songs and those of the authors to whom the artists are linked. A musical journey through a path made of emotions and knowledge of a very personal and original language that has made the two artists a reference of Italian music and beyond. Two thirty-year careers, theirs, in the name of the continuous search for musical innovation and with an ever attentive look to the social, singing the sufferings of the last and their hopes, which are the hopes of a large part of the population of the world. Servillo and Avitabile will be accompanied, at the concert of the Ensemble, by Gianluigi Di Fenzaon classical guitar, ed Emidio Ausiello, to percussion. The show will start at 21.30.

Wednesday 17 at 21.00 to open the second evening of the festival, always in the central Arena of Largo San Giovanni, “Amarcord, the dawn of the Spoltore Ensemble with William Zola. To follow (22.15) there will be the theatrical monologue written and performed by Walter Nanni “It costs discord. Africa and emigration as they have never told you “, an extraordinary and exciting story of a journey into the heart of Senegal, through the words and testimony of the Italian actor and director who, with his usual style ironic, humorous and communicative, it tells about Africa and its migratory phenomena, dismantling a thousand clichés, with an interpretation halfway between satire and civil theater. The music is by Enrico Melozzi.

On Thursday 18 August at 9.30 pm “Life, death and miracles of Bonfiglio Liborio” will be staged, a particular reading of the novel by Remo Rapino, winner of the Campiello Award 2020, by the Ennio Flaiano Theater Company, the Fla-Festival of books and other things and the Alfredo Casella dell’Aquila Conservatory of Music. The show, signed by the direction of Rossella Mattioli and with the music of Paolo Rosatowill be interpreted by the author Remo Rapino, by the narrating voice of the actress Rossella Mattioli and from the accordion of Dario Flammini. The performance will retrace the life of Liborio Bonfiglio, the protagonist of the successful novel, who wanders oddly and irregularly on the basalt slabs of a town that is never mentioned. It will be the music of an accordion, composed for the occasion, to accompany Liborio in this meeting dedicated to him, and in which this original character will present himself to the public, even on stage, from different points of view, with focus – narratively speaking – different, which will take on various tones and colors.

The festival will continue with the exclusive live Morgan meets Angelo Valori & Medit Orchestra (Friday 19 August), the concert by Tosca, Morabeza d’estate (Saturday 20), and the show Les enfants terribles, curated by Guardiagrele Opera (Sunday 21 ).

Tickets for the shows can be purchased online on the CiaoTickets circuit and at the Largo San Giovanni ticket office, before each event.

The historic center, for the entire duration of the event, will be a Stage City with actors and musicians who will give life to various art shows through the streets of the village. Furthermore, every day of the festival, at 6.00 pm, you can visit the hidden Spoltore, an initiative organized by the Pro Loco Spoltore Terra dei 5 borghi, to which you can participate by going to the tourist information point in Piazza D’Albenzio.

And then Dimore Ensemble, an initiative organized by The colors of the territory by Edgardo Cotellucci And Marie Jenie Rossiwhich will allow you to visit the identifying places of the city between public spaces and private residences that will be open to the public for the occasion.

Finally, the historic center will be enriched with photo itineraries, three photographic exhibitions (“When there was no selfie. The village photographer, witness of time and artist” by Tonino Di Venanzio c / o Crypt Church of San Panfilo within the Walls, “I believe. Faces and Voices of Spirituality ”by Mauro Vitale c / o Ex Antico Forno, Via dei Calderai 37 and “Passion photography. Freedom to express oneself “by photographers Aternum c / o Municipal Library of Spoltore Via Dietro le Mura 10) organized by La Centenaria by Andrea Morelli and Aternum amateur photographers from Abruzzo.
