The benefit concert, conducted by Carlo Contiwill be broadcast live from the churchyard of the Upper Church of the Basilica of San Francesco d’Assisi, Friday 10 June at 9.25pm on Rai1 and simulcast on Rai Radio1 And RaiPlay. This year, among others, the Franciscan canteens in Italy, the Ukrainian population affected by the war and the Franciscan missions in the world will be helped. «Come back with the Heart with many new solidarity projects. In these 20 years of Franciscan missions in Italy and in the world, we friars of Assisi, together with the generosity of millions of Italians, wish to bring hope and relief to thousands of people “declared the Custos of the Sacred Convent of Assisi, fra Marco Moroni. War, hunger, work, lack of access to care and educational poverty will be the themes at the center of this new charity marathon. With an SMS or a landline call to 45515 we will be able to support the peripheries of the world together. From Assisi, in the footsteps of Francis, we can bring a caress that will soothe the suffering of the marginalized ».
Every year, in fact, the friars of the Sacred Convent of Assisi organize a charity marathon and ask men of good will for help for the most disadvantaged and needy people in the world. A unique evening that combines music, culture and spirituality and will see the participation of witnesses of solidarity and civil and religious fraternity. The 2022 edition of Con il Cuore foresees the participation of some friars engaged in the front line in Ukraine in welcoming families fleeing the war and in caring for the least.
“The solidarity event With the Heart allows us to put love for the poor at the center once again, who are the greatest wealth for the Church” he declared father Enzo Fortunato. “God speaks to us through those we meet along the path of life”. Also this year Con il Cuore will be broadcast on live broadcast on Radio1. The television program will air on rerun on Sunday 12 June at 4.10 pm always on Rai 1.
