It was a great day yesterday at Festival of the Word from Chiavari (GE).
In the afternoon Maurizio Solieri, Massimo Poggini And Marco Pagliettini presented three books at the San Francesco Auditorium: Rock’n’roll tonight, 70 times Vasco And Lucio Dalla – Images and stories of a life as deep as the sea. It’s over that Solieri he picked up the guitar and played three songs for the audience present: Songa cover by Jimi Hendrix e Song for a Friend.
And then Elizabeth Villagedaughter of the great Paulpresented the book Fantozzi behind the scenes. To follow it was Pino Donaggio to present one of his books, As a symphony. The great Venetian musician was expected to Chiavari, but a recent health issue forced him to give up travel and stream. This has taken nothing away from the story of an extraordinary career, characterized by the incredible success of I who do not live (without you)a song that in its countless versions (including the cover of Elvis Presley) sold around 80 million copies, and from around 90 soundtracks subsequently composed for the cinema. At the end of the connection Donation he promised that he will be in Chiavari next year.
In the evening, therefore, the last guest was Enrico Vanzina. Taking a cue from the book Day diary recently published, the screenwriter and director has told an infinite amount of anecdotes, now moving, now entertaining the large audience in the square. Vanzina he talked about dad Steno and his brother Charlesbut also of Alberto Sordi, Carlo Verdone, Vittorio De Sica, Ennio Flaiano and of the many other extraordinary artists met along his path. Included Paolo Villaggioon the occasion also remembered by having his daughter go on stage Elizabeth.
The Festival of the Word today celebrates its last day. Among the most anticipated guests we point out Vittorio De Scalzi And Andrea Crisanti. The grand finale will instead be dedicated to Pier Paolo Pasolini.
