When the years catch up with you, what will you do?

Do you feel older? You can conquer your dreams! It all depends on your attitude, your faith, prayer and your perseverance

“My days have passed faster than the shuttle, and they stopped when there was no more thread. Remember that my life is a breath».

Job 7, 6-7

Last Saturday I was buying food in a supermarket. My wife Vida was there. A lady approaches us, looks at Vida and says:

“Are you Lady Life?”

“How do you know?”

—I read her husband in Aleteia and sometimes mentions her in his articles.

I hardly believed it and I thanked him for such a nice gesture. I love to hear from you, who read these writers, that’s why sometimes I put my e-mail staff.

I have shared many things of my life with you.

Next July 3 I will be 65 years old. I hardly believe it. “But I just got out of school!” I say to myself, “When did it happen?”

I always thought that one turned 18 and parked at that age, like a train that stops at a station that no longer serves passengers.

I have seen many things over the years.

I lived like many in my country, a bloody invasion of the United States army to Panama.

I wrote books of personal growth yearning to bring hope.

teachings of the age

I got to know Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament better, a prisoner of love in the Tabernacle.

I learned to value the presence of my guardian angel who has rescued me from many difficulties and I often pray to him with this childish prayer:

“My Guardian Angel, sweet company, do not forsake me, neither by night nor by day”.

I understood the need to get up every time you fall, never regret, or stay lying on the ground. You get up as soon as possible, shake your hands and start again.

I realized that life is full of opportunities.

When I write I think of Jesus.

-You are with me?

—Here I am Claudio, with you.

Roads to travel, treasures to discover

It is a wonderful experience to be able to share my thoughts, my faith, my joys, my life, my concerns, with you through these articles of Aleteia and of my books of personal and spiritual growth published on Amazon.

When I write these words I feel close to you. I know you pray for us Aleteia and it comforts me and encourages me to continue.

It gives me the energy, the enthusiasm I need to persevere and continue writing for you.

I think about the age I have to live. In the great adventures that the good Lord has in store for me.

There are still ways to go, treasures of spirituality to discover, great joys to live.

The Bible’s Answer

A friend I met, gray-haired like me, told me complaining: “We’re getting old, Claudio.”

I smiled at him at this interesting observation. And I replied:

“There is much to do. The Bible literally says in Exodus 7, 7: Moses I had eighty years and Aaron eighty-three when they spoke to Pharaoh.”

We are 15 years away from reaching that productive age where we can do so many things.

Also, we are not old, we have lived, which is wonderful, an opportunity that many are not given”.

there are always opportunities

It’s never too late to start new projects, ventures and conquer your dreams. I recently read the life of the famous Colonel Sanders, the creator of the Kentucky Fried Chicken.

He failed many times in his life but he never gave up. Finally at age 72 he became a millionaire with 600 locations open throughout the United States and Canada.

And you, are you going to give up?

There are always opportunities and many times they pass in front of you, without you seeing them because you are downcast, sad, without encouragement. And that must change.

You can conquer your dreams! It all depends on your attitude, your faith, prayer and your perseverance.

Cheer up! Never give up!

Can I ask you a favor?

My birthday falls on Sunday, July 3. Would you be so kind as to raise a prayer to the good Lord that day for this sinner who seeks to serve him and does not always succeed?

And if you are lucky enough to go to an oratory to accompany Jesus in the Tabernacle tell him: “Jesus, Claudio sends you greetings. Remember him. Today is your birthday”.
