*The scientific origins of Negro

Jean Garry Denis

Quantum physics, also called physics of particles and phenomena infinitely small compared to those infinitely large such as stars and galaxies, demonstrates that the particles of matter are not inert and constitute animated and living elements. This new fashionable discipline is the basis of a set of new discoveries in cutting-edge sectors such as: astrophysics, molecular biology, genetics, etc. The research carried out within the framework of this discipline proves that the electron has a thought, a soul, an intentionality and strongly influences our spirituality. Aspect’s experience[1] on the phenomenon of quantum entanglement and hypotheses of non-locality attests that the invisible is now part of rational reality and calls into question Einstein’s theory of relativity on the speed limit of light.

Naturally the Negro-African civilization of ancient Egypt (Kemet[2]) had already preceded the conclusions of quantum physics, since they had always believed that a spirit was present in all matter and vice versa. In this sense, Frankétienne, on the program Des livres et vous, of May 17, 2019[3] on Caribbean radio, evoked the principle of the materiality of the spirit and the spirituality of matter. This animist cosmogony has always been seen through by the ignorance and arrogance of Westerners who have never missed the opportunity to qualify us with the most horrible words: barbarians, savages, uncivilized, retrograde, etc. Let them decimate you and reduce you to slavery, only their knowledge was scientific, only their civilizations were authentic. The knowledge of others was mere myths, as if the myths did not conform to certain scientific truths as evidenced today by the phenomena of non-locality and quantum entanglement.

Cheik Anta Diopp, Senegalese intellectual and politician, one of the precursors of Afrocentricity, always said that everything is in Kemet. Diopp’s work has always demonstrated the importance and undeniable contribution of Black African civilization to science, culture and world civilization. For Diopp, Africa is the cradle of humanity and has always been at the forefront of the development of a set of scientific disciplines such as chemistry, architecture, mathematics, etc. It is a civilization that has always been fascinated by science and the need to provide scientific answers to the phenomena of nature. This fascination has always shaped and structured African spirituality, which explains the link between divinities, myths and scientific processes. In his book, From quantum cosmology to the symbolism of God, Mbog Bassong, Cameroonian intellectual and university professor, affirmed[4] “Conclusive research leads us to think that Africans have always seen the question of God from the angle of scientific reflection, in relation to the state of knowledge at various times in history. All in all: no messiah, no prophet, no revelation, no dogma…”. Today, voodoo, which constitutes the most living heritage of African spirituality, is based on scientific principles. Indeed, the man inside the universe in voodoo is considered as a cyclical and cosmic being. In this sense, the Voodoo egregore is articulated around these four great universal elements of cosmic energy: water, earth, fire and air.

Water spirits in Haitian voodoo consist of Danbalah, Aida Wedo, and spirits from the Simbi Escort who are guardians of water sources. In the Dahomean Fon, the supreme god of water is Dan, symbolized by a serpent. Water embodies life, it is to nature what blood is to humans. “We will all die”, said Delira[5] to express his fear of the drought in his community of Fond-Rouge. The properties of water are immense and are of paramount importance in voodoo. The water that washed Manuel’s blood, sacrificed in search of it, is always poured on the ground as an offering in voodoo not only to salute the earth, the alma mater, our nurturing mother, but to restore the cosmic balance with the heat produced by the Fire.

The fire element in the voodoo cosmogony is at the antipodes of water. In Haitian Vodou, he is represented by the Ogou spirits, venerated in the Lakou Badjo every January 6th. They symbolize the fire of metal transformation, the war in combat, the 3rd eye which provides light. Herviosso is the supreme god of fire in Fon Dahomean voodoo. He carries a thunder axe”, a kind of meteoric stone which symbolizes power and which punishes criminals, sorcerers, slavers, etc. with lightning.

Air is an essential element for the life of living beings, it plays the role of intermediary between fire and water. It receives from the fire the property of heat and from water, the coolness to maintain the balance of life. Air spirits in Haitian Vodou are represented by Loko and his escort, Agawou, Briz, etc. In the Fon, the god of air is Ayidoh Wedo and is made up of two intertwined serpents, one representing the positive pole and the other the negative pole. These spirits are very present in secret societies and have a great esoteric dimension. Through phenomena of non-locality of quantum entanglement, the West begins to seriously investigate the probability of the teleportation of matter, highly prized in the myths of the secret societies of Haitian voodoo.

The growth, aging and destruction of the bodily envelope of all that exists in the universe is governed by the Earth. In Vodou Fon, Sakpata is the god of the earth, he commands the action of the other cosmic elements. The earth is that great cyclical field from which all things in the universe come and go. The earth receives the dead to perpetuate life in other forms. In this context, Lavoisier said: nothing is lost, nothing is created, everything is transformed. It is by virtue of this principle that the voodoo practitioner considers humans as Vèditè, that is to say humans who will transform themselves into earthworms to nourish the earth and perpetuate life in other forms. It is this scientific reason which explains why voodooists do not pray for the rest of the soul, rather wish the dead a good start for the new phase of life born of the disintegration and reconstitution of new atoms in the construction of this new life.

The study of comparative religions shows that there is a great deficit of spirituality in the Abrahamic religions (Islam, Christianity and Jews), revealed, compared to other animist religions, such as Negro-African religions, Asian religions such as Confucianism, and Buddhism, and the religions of Native American aborigines. The latter have based their spirituality on scientific knowledge and their relationship with nature. It must be said that the genesis of the Abrahamic religions is always at the crossroads of major political and economic facts and is characterized by their exclusivism and their intolerance against other civilizations.

Christianity finds its ferment in the first ecumenical council of Nicaea in the year 325, by the emperor Constantine 1st to restore the political unity of the empire. Cyprian, bishop of Carthage (approx. 200-258), was the spearhead of Christian exclusivism. In response to the apostates of the Church, he always said: “Outside the Church, there is no salvation“, that is to say even those who have not been in contact with the gospel will be ravaged by the fire of eternal Gehenna. In Islam, apostasy is treated with the utmost rigor. Verse 217 of the 2nd Surah of the Quran promises divine retribution to those who leave Islam. Some Hadiths (words attributed to Muhammad) are not satisfied with a post-mortem condemnation, they condemn to immediate death those who leave Islam

In addition, it must be said that Islam and Christianity actively supported slavery and provided moral support for the Arab and Christian slave trades. Indeed, Nicholas V, dated January 8, 1454, authorized the European powers to conquer African territories to reduce them to slavery. Through this decision, the Catholic Church legitimized the slave trade by getting directly involved in the sharing of slave predations and by also being the economic and denominational beneficiary of this barbarism. It should be added that in the Arab slave trade, castration was practiced on male slaves in order to prevent them from reproducing in Islamic lands.

*Conclusion :*

“Cultural plenitude can only make a people more apt to contribute to the general progress of humanity and to come closer to other peoples knowingly”, said Check Anta Diopp. This reflection is part of the famous concept of cultural plenitude to rehabilitate our culture, our history, our spirituality and our contribution to civilization. In this context, the accomplishment of the founding act of 1804 remains unquestionably in the history of humanity one of the greatest contributions to a civilization of freedom and emancipation of the human race. Unfortunately, this contribution has been systematically fought and our faith in a more equitable humanity has been reviled, ignored and flouted by a racist West. In this context, the rehabilitation of our spirituality will allow us to mature, to have confidence in ourselves, because we cannot claim to achieve development in the language, culture and religion and spirituality of others.
