The investigation must prove that it is a sect, although the participants assure that there was no previous relationship between them

The investigations that are being carried out on the spiritual ritual that the neoshaman Axel Rudin was going to direct in Langreo before being interrupted by agents of the National Police experts in sects who arrived from Madrid could be closed with an administrative sanction, according to sources close to the case.

Two factors of the investigation seem unable to prove that the Langrean meeting is a sect or criminal group as they maintain from Madrid. The first is that the four detainees do not have a close relationship with each other. The ritual was organized taking advantage of the neoshaman’s visit to Asturias, and none of the detainees confirms that he is aware of being or belonging to the same group, nor is there a hierarchical relationship between them. They share similar concerns about spirituality.

Nor is there an economic link between the detainees, although it is true that in the house where the search took place there were two piggy banks indicating that donations were collected, with an established minimum of 80 euros. One of them was intended for RHC, owner of the house where the retreat was held, to help cover expenses, and the other for Rudin and his family (he travels with his wife and two of his children).

Two jars for donations were found in the registry, one to help the organizer and the other for the neoshaman.

It is also not clear that the minors present on the farm where this ritual was taking place were in the same room as the participants in it. It is also proven that they were the children of the Swedish healer and the owner of the house.

The investigation is waiting to receive the chemical analyzes that determine that the substances seized are ayahuasca and yoco, herbs that the neoshaman allegedly carried, the only one of the four detainees who is accused of an alleged crime against public health. And it is that in Spain the ayahuasca vine (Banisteriopsis caapi) and its preparations are included in the list of plants whose sale to the public is prohibited or restricted due to its toxicity. The four detainees stated in their statements that they never believed they were doing something “illegal.”

Alerted by the public to the presence of Axel Rudin in Asturias and his participation as a driver in a spiritual retreat in Tuilla, 70 agents from the Central Police Information Unit showed up at a private address in Les Llanes, La BraƱa de Tuilla , suspecting that he could be capturing followers through the consumption of psychotropic substances.

They proceeded to arrest four people, who were released by the Langrean court, three of them without charge, in less than 48 hours. A spectacular record was made that began in the afternoon-night of last Friday, although from the beginning there have been many voices that described it as “exaggerated” due to the extensive deployment carried out.
