The celebrations in honor of the patron saint San Rocco ended in Arpaise

The organizers communicate: The solemn celebrations in honor of the patron saint St. Roch of Montpellier ended in Arpaise, at the Parish of Beata Vergine Maria, San Rocco, San Sebastiano, led by the parish priest Don Albert Mwise. Two years after the pandemic in which it was not possible to celebrate as in previous years, this year the whole community celebrated again the saint of charity and humility, the pilgrim of God, his protector from the plague much invoked also in these years of the pandemic, the community has entrusted its life, its country and its health, so that the covid infection ends and through his intercession has asked for the grace of God to always have a living faith like Saint Roch who has undertaken the his life towards love for God and love for neighbor by serving in charity towards the weakest, lonely and sick brothers.
In all these days of both the religious and the civil festivities, there were many participants who came not only from the neighboring territories and from the municipalities of the province, but also from every part of Italy and from abroad; in fact, many emigrants who return every year to live these beautiful days of spirituality, prayer, sharing, being together with their own community.
On August 15, on the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and on the twenty-fifth anniversary of the inauguration of the Oasis of Padre Pio, the building and blessing of the Statue of St. Pio of Pietrelcina, the Eucharistic Celebration took place and subsequently on the 16th, 17th and 18th the Holy Masses were celebrated inside the Church in honor of the Saint.
One of the most exciting and highly anticipated moments of this festival was the solemn procession through the streets of the town held on the 18th, where in addition to the parish priest of the local community Don Albert and the Deacon Don Giuseppe Rossi, the Mayor of Arpaise Vincenzo Forni Rossi were present together. to the Municipal Administration, the Commander of the Carabinieri of Ceppaloni Lieutenant Gianluca Contini together with Marshal Andrea De Pierro, the policeman Urbano Salvatore, the Anpas Civil Protection of San Leucio del Sannio and the numerous faithful who with faith in the procession they carried on their shoulders the Saint.
Another beautiful and significant moment for the great love for their community and for the Patron Saint was when in a stage of the procession the Mayor and the parish priest carried together on their shoulders the sacred image of San Rocco who at the end of the procession returned to church amid the applause and hymns of the Città di Ailano musical band that enriched the moment of celebration with their notes.
At the end of everything and archived in the pages of the history of Arpaise this 2022 holiday, it can be said that in addition to the religious holiday, just as beautiful was the civil one in which everyone did his part for the success of the evenings, the whole community in fact she met at the food stand of the Parish in the location of Piazza Matteo Renato Donisi, where the festivity took place, to prepare and offer to the participants excellent pasta with aubergine and sausage sauce, tasty montanare, caciocavallo, sandwiches, crepes, desserts, all accompanied by good music and smiles on the faces of those present who addressed their feelings of joy, esteem, gratitude to the Mayor for having organized the evenings of Tra Lucciole e Stelle and to the Parish Priest for all the work done together with the collaborators in the party patronal, who from the beginning also worked actively on the stand; see you all together next year so many and happy in the community of Arpaise.
