Exposure Arp, one day of the years one life to BAP! One day, years, one life, title inspired by the poem Day that Pierre-André Benoit dedicated to his friend Jean Arp in 1955. The latter was 62 years old when he met the young publisher for the first time. A friendship is forged between the two artists and will be fueled by a rich correspondence dealing with poetry, spirituality and questions about life. It is therefore to celebrate the bond between the two men that the Pierre-André Benoit Museum-Library has decided to pay tribute to Jean Arp through the point of view of PAB. Each room bears a title linked to the exchanges and correspondence between the two men and thus becomes a pretext for revisiting Arp’s work. This chronological journey highlights the years 1930-1960 and sheds light on lesser-known aspects of Jean Arp’s work. Rich in a hundred works (engravings, drawings, paintings, collages, torn papers, sculptures, etc.) and documents (books, magazines and letters), it immerses us in the universe of this artist in perpetual search for novelties and of evolution while remaining faithful to the values of its beginnings […] and his sense of humor much needed to survive in a Europe of fire and blood », as Isabelle Ewig, curator of this exhibition and lecturer in the history of contemporary art at Sorbonne University, Paris, points out. From June 24 to October 9, 2022. Free admission. Paid temporary exhibition. Full price: €5 / half price: €2.50, 12 to 18 years old, students, groups of more than 15 people, social minima / Free for children under 12 years old. The gesture of the day for the planet!

Myriam Gorzkowski, doctor of pharmacy, has published a guide to good practices for the planet. Every day of the summer, we offer you a simple and quick gesture to participate collectively in this essential mission.

Don’t throw anything on the ground. During a picnic or a walk, do not throw anything on the ground in order to protect our environment. Chewing gum, for example, takes more than five years to degrade in the environment! It takes almost 100 years for an aluminum can and 450 years for a plastic bag. On your next walk, you can also take a garbage bag and clean up nature!

The cliche of the networks!

Every morning, Gard objective shares with you the photo selected by the editorial staff and disseminated on the flow of images and information on social networks. This morning, we offer you this shot of the town of Gallargues-le-Montueux which celebrates in image the anniversary of Hélène’s professional activity with this message: “40 years of service! 4 services: reception, accounting, civil status and town planning, 4 mayors: Roger Julien, Marcelle Chappert, René Pourreau and Freddy Cerda. From the typewriter to the Minitel to reach the era of dematerialization. Hélène has followed the evolution of the town hall! All colleagues, all elected officials and all Gallarguois who know her wish a happy anniversary of service to Hélène Granier. » So happy birthday Hélène fromGard objective !
