Serra San Bruno hosted the evenings of 10 (Homage to Lucio Dalla), 11 (Quartetto di Cremona) and 16 August (30th Anniversary tour Noa & band), meeting a great success with the public and a considerable return in terms of image.

The protagonist, therefore, is the quality music but also the beauty of a natural landscape made even more fascinating by Bruniana’s history and spirituality.

All inserted in the spirit of the Festival which is to transform internationality into an opportunity by eliminating borders.

Silvia Colombini, soprano, literally amazed among the voices that animated the first evening and who admitted how “wonderful it is to perform in a place of the soul like Santa Maria, where we have carved out moments of strong emotions with a tribute and a thought addressed to dead at sea. Today – she added – there is a need for reflection and to rediscover in ourselves those values that ensure human rights ”.

For Pierdavide Carone, who with Dalla participated in the Sanremo festival in 2012, “spirituality and nature were inherent in the man and in the artist Lucio: in this place, therefore, a good circle closes”.

Visibly satisfied the director Leonardo Quadrini, who revealed that “Lucio Dalla’s program of 16 years ago for Calabria has been revived with the last young man he was launching before his death”.

In particular, the 60 members of the Bulgaria Classic Symphony Orchestra “accompanied” the listeners on a path of happy light-heartedness with the exquisite performance of the pieces.

Context summarized by the words of maestro Simone Gramaglia (viola), who was impressed by “a suggestive place where music, nature and spirituality come together, as often happens in classical music.

We were very happy to perform here as our first time in Calabria.

It is true that we play all over the world, in many places, often in theaters and concert halls, but Serra San Bruno will remain in our hearts ”.

“Crazy and beautiful”, on the other hand, the evocative natural scenery of the holy place for Noa who talked with Alfredo Barillari and thanked the “young major” for the welcome and foresight in planning an event that, in addition to making people appreciate the artistic skills, he gave messages of peace.

Many, coming from different parts of the region, have had the opportunity to discover a place where they can return to deepen its history and beauty.

Specifically, the initiative was born from the intuition and understanding between the artistic director of the Festival, Chiara Giordano, and the mayor Alfredo Barillari, producing – after careful analysis and insistent inspections that have ascertained the compliance of Santa Maria with to the project that from Borgia has been extended by fully involving Serra – “a fruitful collaboration” and a program that will unfold in the medium-long term.

The artistic director said she was in love with the context created by “spirituality and the magic of nature which, together, give back an enchantment” allowing “the music to do the rest”.

“A music of the heart – he stressed again – that warmed the minds, generating unique emotions”. Therefore, the project is destined to be nurtured and to develop further.

“Here in Santa Maria del Bosco – argued the mayor – we started a very important journey with ‘Armonie d’Arte’ which paid homage to a wonderful place with sensational musical interpretations and touched feelings by telling about identities, journeys, encounters and dialogues.

I thank Chiara Giordano for having strongly believed in this project, investing her experience in enhancing our territory.

This union, therefore, is destined to grow and will offer new special moments to be lived intensely “.
