EL NUEVO DIARIO, NEW JERSEY, USA- Dozens of Dominican pastors, religious and community leaders from several cities gathered at the temple of the Christian Restoration Ministry, in Passaic County, to hold a meeting with the president of the Christian Restoration Force. of the People, Leonel Fernández, who said that the churches play a vital role in putting a stop to behavioral deviations in society.
Fernández recognized the transcendental value of the churches, after a presentation to the religious about the organization that he presides over, and the challenges facing the Dominican Republic.
“In a country that has threats, that has risks, because there is certainly crime, there is violence, there is illicit drug trafficking; the role that the churches play in the Dominican Republic is vital to put a stop to those behavioral deviations that occur in certain sectors of national life”, she expressed.
The president of the People’s Force said that only by working for the improvements of the people does it make sense to participate in political activity. He added that in addition to that, “not only do we work for social change, for the economy, but there is also a spiritual dimension in human life.”
“That spirituality is only cultivated through the teachings that you transmit, therefore, it is a fight against everything that diminishes the human condition, the lack of transparency, accountability, the egocentric spirit, vanity. I think that it is by having this spiritual dimension that one is able to place oneself above vanity, the ego and to understand that all the effort one makes, simply and simply, is for the well-being of the Dominican people,” he added.

The opposition leader reiterated his opinion on Christian education and the teaching of biblical texts. “I think the Bible is a book of wisdom and therefore if it can be taught in schools it would open up perspectives for all our young people. What we cannot say is pray with the Bible, but rather teach the Bible, because there is already a diversity of values and beliefs, but with the mere fact that the Bible is read and interpreted and seen, you know what is going on to happen.
