Leisure

Every other Saturday, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., they meet in Iloa for activities related to scouting. They are ten today. Last year, the pastor created the group of scouts (12-17 years old). They were four for this first year, they met once a month and participated in actions launched by the municipality (Children’s Day, fraternity, etc.)Cubs meet every other Saturday in Iloa.

This summer, camps are offered to these little adventurers: the Cub Scouts will discover the Pony Run Run equestrian center and do activities in nature for a week and the older ones will leave for 15 days in Creuse to meet other groups.

Open to everyone

Ahead of the next school year, open doors are being organized this Saturday in Iloa. “We realized that a lot of people think our group is just for evangelicals. But that’s not true,” explains Denis Schneller. The group is open to everyone, and the pastor insists on the fact that very few moments in connection with religion enamel the outings and that they are not imposed.

“It is limited to a few prayers and a time of spiritual reflection of about 20 minutes. If we do not remove these moments, it is because for me, they have educational goals: to approach spirituality and teach young people tolerance and respect for others, even if their beliefs are different. »

Tolerance

It is so that parents understand this vision of “secularism” and “openness”, to which Denis Schneller is very attached, that he organized these open days during which parents and children will be able to experience a typical day and ask their questions. .
