WHO IS LAWRENCE LEE?
Lawrence Lee has been an artist for more than 50 years. Since the late 1970s he has dedicated himself to art full time and his works occupy the spaces of museums and private collections all over the world.
The experience with digital art is well rooted in his artistic career: in fact, in 1989, Lee created the first computer-generated illustrated book for children.
Today he is one of the most respected members of the crypto community, with his NFTs present on the major exchange platforms.
HIS ART
Lawrence Lee’s artistic production can be summarized in two strands: that of landscapes and that of portraits.
Landscapes are semi-abstract scenarios where color dominates as a determining element in the composition, deviating from the reproduction of reality.
The portraits, on the other hand, always have a totemic aspect, referring to the Native American shamanic tradition.
Lee’s entire production is strongly characterized by the western atmosphere that permeates the landscapes of Arizona where the artist was born and still lives today.
“CrossCronocron Man” (2020) is an example of Lawrence Lee’s portrait style ported to the NFT format. The face of an old man with native features rendered thanks to masses of color that give the work a psychedelic aura.
