CITY OF PIEVE – One year after his death, it will be staged at 9.30pm on Saturday 2 July, “Battiato Nascosto“, A special event dedicated to the spiritual dimension and the music of Franco Battiato, a free tribute to the unforgettable figure of the Maestro, a search for the essence hidden among the texts and notes of his songs that have spoken and will always speak to sensitive souls .

The event, which will take place in the wonderful circular space ofCulture room of the Community of Living Ethics to City of the Pievewas born under the artistic direction of Andrea Ceccomoriinternational flutist, creator and founder of the association Assisi Sacred Sounda soul in constant search for a pure, authentic musical language, in resonance with the sacred and hidden part of life.

A tribute defined “dutiful“By Ceccomori himself, who also comes to life from the indelible memory of his collaboration with the Sicilian singer-songwriter, which took place on the occasion of the gestation of the Archaic Mass, sacred composition and important stage of the profound spiritual journey that marked Battiato’s entire life, presented for the first time in October 1993 in the Basilica of San Francesco d’Assisi.

The Battiato Nascosto project – explains Andrea – was born for transmit and consolidate the spiritual values ​​behind his songs. This is why it is called “hidden”, because we are going to find out what is behind the lyrics and the songs, that spiritual baggage that we should make our own to bring it into everyday life, so that all the work and efforts are not been in vain.

With the musical arrangements of Antonio Cocomazzi, together with Andrea’s flute there will be Annalisa Baldi to the voice, Fabio Battistelli al clarinet ed Antonio Cocomazzi at the piano to perform the music of the most famous songs alongside pieces by Gurdjieff.

With a view to a harmonious union of arts, on some pieces there will be Sufi dance interventions performed by Marco Feltro Grassi And Violetta Spadoni of the Sufi dance school Divine Sufism from Nevio Vitali and sacred dances and movements by Gurdjieff by the school Time to Be from Otello Boco.

It will be a moment of meditation, spiritual and contemplative – Andrea continues – where the search for the sacred is fundamental, because it is precisely from the sacred sphere that music is born, from the sphere of the soul. That’s why I founded the Assisi Suono Sacro association, where the whole musical project leads to spiritual and peace projects with the dream and the aim of rediscovering and promoting the sacredness and universality of music for the rebirth of a new world.“.

Academy, ensemble and festival which reaches its tenth edition this year, will take place in Assisi from 25 July to 7 August through “master classes and concerts where the training of the musician is at the center, a musician who we hope will be able to bring these projects of spirituality and peace to the world through music tomorrow.

This year the festival will be called ONE and wants to be a format of a type of concert that aims atintegrity: integrity first of all as a person, making peace with oneself and then integrating the world in harmony.
