Hopefully everyday problems don’t darken our horizon

Hoday it is common to see ourselves engrossed in ideas that harass us during the day to day and that do not allow us to maintain that treasure that we should all protect: serenity.

Because of the accelerated pace in which the world is passing and perhaps because of the same problems, we spend our time lamenting things that ‘could have been’ and that ‘were not’.

We also ruin our spirit due to certain circumstances that are adverse to us, but that if we analyzed them with a neutral or less rigorous approach, they would not keep us so sleepless.

The truth of the matter is that setbacks cause us anguish that makes us stumble. And although external reality is key, it is also mixed with emotional situations that cloud our horizon even more.

When we have these sensations of discomfort in the face of everyday life or the environment, we must ask ourselves what are the reasons that trigger this emotional chaos, but at the same time what we could do to be more serene.

We must approach everyday problems as calmly as possible, among other things, to avoid the physical and emotional exhaustion we experience.

One of the concrete actions, in this sense, is to relax and, above all, not let ourselves be carried away by what others think or compare our situation with the ‘supposed well-being’ that we detect in those around us.

Comparing ourselves with others means that we can always find someone who is better than us and, therefore, makes us yearn for things that in the end are not what we really want to be.

There is nothing that harms us more than stereotypes or biased ideals, because on many occasions they become lies that we end up believing.

How many times have we stopped ourselves from enjoying wonderful things in life because of a false belief or because of something that is supposed to be the ‘right’ thing to do?

When we let go of those ties and those concerns, our eyes and souls open and we begin to see everything more clearly.

I propose the following exercise: ask yourself what really makes you happy and what you really need to be able to achieve it.

But, do not answer from what others think or from the criteria that you have made yourself believe, but from what your soul and heart dictate.

If you answer honestly, you will discover that listening to yourself is wonderful and you will realize that you are very different from what you have been led to believe.

Do not take personally all the losses you have had along the way because, on many occasions, they are situations that have gotten out of hand.

Better pay attention to your attitude and the way you dealt with those problems, because that is what is really important.

Start by forgiving yourself and don’t look for Jesus outside but in your heart; sometimes you look for him outside when he has always been there, only you don’t make an effort to listen to him. God bless you!

TODAY’S CASE

Concerns frequently assault our state of mind. However, with each question we have one more chance to face a new horizon, either by reasoning or applying healthy strategies for the soul. What are those fears that affect you today? Tell us about them so we can reflect on this on this Spirituality page. Send your testimony to Euclides Kilô Ardila at the following email: eardila@vanguardia.com In this column, he himself will respond. Let’s look at today’s case:

Testimony: “I take advantage of this space you offer me to let off steam and tell him that, despite the fact that I pray, I don’t feel that God answers me. After asking for things, I extend my hand and receive nothing that I ask for. I would like to know, from his personal case, how much Jesus attends to his pleas. I ask because I know that there are many people who, like me, are frustrated by this strange ‘silence’ of the Lord. I thank you for your response.”

Answer: At some point in my life I perceived the same thing that you are telling me today and I understand it. As in his case, I also constantly wondered if God heard my prayers. However, little by little, I began to feel the Lord’s answers in my heart, from a different perspective.

And it is that His blessings and decisions come in subtle, unexpected and unsuspected ways. Furthermore, life itself ratified me, with certain circumstances, that things happen in God’s time, not in mine.

It is not that Jesus does not listen to you when you pray, what happens is that he does not always grant you exactly what you ask for, because perhaps the conditions for it are not given. He grants him what he considers most appropriate in his life.

I must also point out that praying is not demanding your tastes or whims from God, but rather it consists of asking him to do his will and that you know how to accept it.

On the other hand, raising prayers to heaven implies going hand in hand with action and, therefore, you must get down to work.

You may also need to make some necessary changes in your life that will strengthen your faith and clear the way for your blessings.

* Forgiveness is a medicine that heals us, while resentment is a storm that disturbs our thoughts. Let’s not be bitter about nonsense! The true charm of life is knowing how to heal and keeping in mind that it is up to us to enjoy everything that makes us vibrate.

* You are not iron! Love the being you see in the mirror when you get up. Whenever it is within your reach, give yourself a smile, feel alive, do not be tormented by things that are not in your power to solve and, most importantly, remember that a beautiful heart beats inside you.

* It’s no coincidence, it’s that God blesses him. In addition, what is called ‘luck’ does not appear as if nothing happened, it occurs when preparation meets opportunity. On the other hand, keep in mind that behind dreams there are always efforts that only you know about and that people sometimes do not see.
