On July 29, 30 and 31, 2022, it was held at the Insigne and Nacional Basilica of Guadalupe in Mexico City, in the excellent auditorium of Plaza Mariana, coordinated by Monsignor Eduardo Chávez Sánchez, postulator of the canonization of Saint Juan Diego and general director of the Higher Institute of Guadalupanos Studies (ISEG), the International Guadalupano Congress called: “Two great saints in Tepeyac”.
Under the auspices of the Mexican Episcopal Conference, the Congress celebrated the 20 years in which His Holiness John Paul II —now a saint— carried out the canonization ceremony of Juan Diego, precisely in this Basilica on July 31, 2002. They were two humble, but brilliant human beings who are now in heaven. In addition, this event marked the beginning of the celebration of the 500 years of the apparitions of the Virgin of Guadalupe in Tepeyac, which will be on December 12, 2031.
The event was excellent, with various activities and the participation of five extraordinary speakers: on Friday the 29th, Pedro Durán, from Guadalajara, participated with “Youth and spirituality”, a wonderful dynamic of the moments that youth experience and their action in the Church.
ISEG Merida campus
Saturday the 30th was totally dedicated to the ISEG Mérida campus with exhibitors who clearly explained how scientific studies prove that the image of the Virgin of Guadalupe was not made by human hands.
The first speakers, I say it with great pride but with humility, were my grandchildren, who have been interested with scientific depth and devotion to investigate and study the Guadalupe event. The brothers Dr. David and LANI Daniel Ojeda Correa, presented the excellent scientific study they carried out on the stars in the mantle of the sacred image.
The following was the mechatronic engineer Carlos Gerardo Ojeda Barrero, about the research he carried out together with the previous speakers, his brother Ricardo and cousin Fernando, physically touring the main hills and volcanoes in the Temascaltepec and Valle de Bravo area of the State of Mexico.
The audience followed with interest how it was scientifically proven that the stars on the mantle and the flowers on the dress of the sacred image of the Virgin of Guadalupe are not randomly placed, but rather the stars are part of 12 of the most important stars in the group of constellations that were in the sky of Mexico at the time of the impregnation of the sacred image in the cloak of Juan Diego; In addition, the 10 tapetl flowers of the dress represent the main volcanoes and hills of the geography of Mexico, respectively.
The third speaker of the day was Dr. David Ricardo Ojeda Correa, presenting the magnificent medical study he carried out on the pregnancy of the Virgin of Guadalupe.
At the end, these speakers were congratulated with great emotion and interviewed by the main television channels.
It was up to a server to close the event explaining in a broad conference how I discovered in the image the celestial music —classified by the Vatican as perfect harmony— that comes precisely from the position of the stars of the mantle and flowers of the dress of the sacred image.
When presenting the video of the interpretation of the symphonic arrangement by the “Viena Music” orchestra, under the direction of maestro José Luis Chan Sabido, it caused an emotional impact on those present, who showed it with sensitive sobs.
It was a brilliant Congress, which had the presence of more than 500 people, including laity and priests, and which was broadcast over the Internet to all of Mexico and the other countries of the world.
Congratulations to the entire team of the Higher Institute of Guadalupan Studies, to its sponsors, to the rector of the Basilica, Monsignor Salvador Martínez Ávila, to the entire Archdiocese of Mexico, and very especially to Monsignor Eduardo Chávez Sánchez, who were in charge of carrying out of this extraordinary Congress.
