Don’t be withered by bad vibes

HThere are many plants that, because we are not aware of them, are withering. With us, human beings, something similar happens: if we don’t take care of ourselves, we begin to ‘die inside’.

This happens when our hopes succumb, when we sleep longing for a long time and when we turn life itself into a “flow of daily nightmares” that end up undermining our enthusiasm.

These withered images are usually seen behind the offices of many companies, with those employees who spend their time yawning in their daily lives; in those relationships of couples that, at the point of jealousy and abuse, give true love a real blow; and in those men and women who magnify their fears and turn each personal or professional challenge into a sea of anxieties, insecurities and nerves.

The worst thing is that, almost without noticing it, these withered souls end up unloading their frustrations on those around them, turning the environment into a storm of negative emotions, exhausting people, making the environment feel heavy and, worse still, consuming their own energies and joys.

It is true that the current times are not easy. In fact, we have been more likely to experience traumatic emotional events that have involved loss, such as the death of a loved one, the disintegration of our family environments or some complicated situations with our partners.

And among the bad vibes are other sources of stress, such as reduced economic income that, without a doubt, make our reality more traumatic.

We cannot allow the rust of our regrets and grudges to grow and cloister us.

Nor can we vent frustrations, sadness and negativity everywhere, because that way we will continue to sow doubts and we will be unable to grow.

It is necessary to stop deploying those attacks of rage, sadness, emptiness, disdain and despondency, which end up doing us a lot of damage.

We cannot continue to sadden the Holy Spirit of God. Let’s banish from now any indication of bitterness, anger, anger or slander.

It is necessary to take a look at hope, bet on new opportunities and look for solutions to our existential anguish.

Let’s raise our spirits and with all our strength let’s make our way in the face of adversity of circumstances, without ‘buts’ or excuses. Either we get motivated or we wither away!

TODAY’S CASE

Concerns frequently assault our state of mind. However, with each question we have one more chance to face a new horizon, either by reasoning or applying healthy strategies for the soul. What are those fears that affect you today? Tell us about them to reflect on it on this page. Send your testimony to Euclides Kilô Ardila at the following email: eardila@vanguardia.com In this column, he himself will respond. Let’s look at today’s case:

Testimony: “Since I was little I designed my big dream when I grew up. I long to have my own company, but today that means leaving a tedious job that gives me guarantees and stability, although it doesn’t make me feel fulfilled. I have to confess that I am unable to crystallize anything that I have set out to do as an independent man. There are some people who also discourage me and predict that I will not be able to have my own project. I feel fears and I don’t know whether to give up, because I don’t think I can make enough progress with the business idea I have. What do you recomend? Thank you”.

Answer: If you continue to be filled with fear, they will continue to paralyze you, and therefore, they will not let you advance in that desire to be independent.

It is my duty to tell you that the ‘autonomy’ that you require is more related to the ability to control your own life, than to give up and leave that “tedious” job that, according to what you write to me, does not currently satisfy you.

It is clear that you must know where to go and you do not have to wait for others to tell you what to do.

Independence also has to do with their ability to take on the moment they live in, find solutions to their work situation and achieve a balance between their aspirations and their real possibilities of leaving that source of income they have today.

Why do you pay so much attention to the ‘outside’? I mention it because the opinion of others, in what has to do with his dream, should not divert him from his life project. Learn to set limits for those who try to limit their goals, which does not imply listening to wise advice. Ask God for serenity and wisdom, so that he allows you to go on the right path.

* We must have enough confidence to crystallize our hopes. Let’s give ourselves the opportunity to change, to improve and to regain enthusiasm. It is essential to have a different perspective and, above all, create an interior space for renewal.

* William Morris said that “the true secret of happiness is that you feel a genuine interest in all the details of everyday life and elevate them to make an art of them”. This being the case, turn on the light of enthusiasm from now on and give clarity to his life project. Never get attached to what turns you off!

* You don’t always get what you want, but sooner or later life will give you what you deserve. Follow his path with perseverance and never doubt his abilities. Remember that if your flight ‘pilot’ is Jesus, the turbulence will not even be felt and the path will be more pleasant for you to travel.
