Demonstration for peace in Naples, De Luca relaunches: “March on Piazza del Plebiscito”

Change of location: the peace demonstration promoted in Naples by the Campania governor Vincenzo De Luca will be held in Piazza Plebiscito and not in Piazza Matteotti. The day does not change: the appointment is for Friday 28 October. “We are gathering a lot of subscriptions to the demonstration, which is not partisan, but for peace,” the president of the Region reiterated yesterday during the usual live Facebook on Friday. A double-sided De Luca: on the one hand pacifist, on the other he shoots chained balls against the premier in pectore Giorgia Meloni: “He did nothing but a Scilipoti operation, an operation for the nocturnal purchase of votes from those in charge” referring to the election of Ignazio La Russa to the presidency of the Senate, also thanks to the votes of the opposition. And then it reserves a blow to the second office of the state and one to the new president of the Chamber Lorenzo Fontana: «We had some vertigo in the transition from the elegant sobriety of Liliana Segre to the image of La Russa»; «The election of Fontana? There is no limit to the worst ».

With respect to his call for peace, De Luca was keen to underline: «We launched the march for peace, to stop Putin, to stop the atomic bomb, to prevent the Ukrainian war from evolving towards a nuclear conflict. By now we have reached the point where we speak of the use of the atomic bomb by the Russian side no longer as a distant hypothesis but as a possible eventuality. Having reconfirmed our full solidarity with Ukraine, we believe that the time has come to set ourselves some objectives with respect to the war. The only proposal after 7 months of conflict – he added – is the one we have advanced, that is, to build a ceasefire in Ukraine and open a peace speech ». Hundreds of adhesions are coming to Palazzo Santa Lucia: Caritas, Ssc Napoli, the universities of Campania, including Federico II, the Food Bank, the Community of Sant’Egidio, CGIL, UIL, the Third Sector Forum, Unicef Campania and Air Campania. De Luca recalled how Campania “is one of the top three regions in Italy that hosts a Ukrainian community and Ukrainian refugees”. “The only possibility – explained De Luca – is a ceasefire, having the ambition to create a working group that sees the presence of the main states of the world, with the involvement of China and India, countries that they can exert pressure on Russia with respect to peace objectives ”.

“Votes from opposition senators have been bought. When these transformative operations are carried out – the governor’s accusations against Meloni – the basis of persuasion to vote is the political market ». He has something for everyone: “We have to hope that, having been elected second position in the state, La Russa at least decides not to go around with the shirt and the belly outside the trousers, for reasons of institutional aesthetics.” On the Northern League, Fontana: «This is the one who said that the spirituality expressed by Putin can be a light for the West. I have the feeling that this is nothing compared to when the formation of the new government will be announced. If this is the anticipation of the new political season, let’s be fresh ». «De Luca turns out to be a pacifist and commits 300 thousand euros from the Region for his amenities. He is ridiculous, he no longer knows which Saint to turn to to divert attention from his failures: health collapsing, non-existent public transport, hydrogeological instability that submerges the territories with mud at the first rains. A total disaster for which the citizens would like to march against him. We all yearn for peace but his instrumental manifestation is only a hustler ”, is the accusation of senator Antonio Iannone, regional commissioner of FdI.
