‘Decree’ your own state of happiness

NWe spend it yearning to be happy and, to tell the truth, we bet on fulfilling that purpose. However, we have an ugly habit of postponing this mission and, without any explanation, we are left with our arms crossed.

Despite the fact that we tell ourselves that we can reach that noble state and that we have the right to enjoy it, in the end we do not lift a single finger to be well and, literally, we wait for such grace to rain down on us from heaven. .

Problems, anxieties and, in general, everyday events distract us so much that we choose to postpone actions that lead us to what really makes us feel whole.

Why is this happening to us?

What happens is that we do not take risks and live with a dull expectation of registering a concrete or specific circumstance in order to act.

What am I trying to say?

That sometimes we justify foolish arguments for not moving and we pretend that everything is given to us as if by magic. That is, we forgot to get down to work.

This prolongation or waiting, which we ourselves justify with the absurd argument that we don’t have time or that we aren’t ‘good’, ends up moving us away from what we yearn for so much.

On the other hand, we usually spend whole hours ‘chasing’ happiness outside, without noticing that it is inside us. You don’t have to look for it, it’s just a matter of realizing it and enjoying it.

How to do it?

We must enjoy simple things and live in a simple way, without pretending to be more than we are.

We should reduce our deluded pretensions. Similarly, we should minimize the heavy obligations and other unjustified burdens.

It is enough to get rid of unnecessary things and not complicate ourselves with anything. Our world is full of ‘closets’; rather, of things and circumstances that we do not require and that make us ‘bulge’.

It is up to us, yes, to establish our priorities and opt for those decisions that could clear our way.

Happy moments have no name or age, much less an expiration date. Let us not be distressed because the days go by; it is better to enjoy today, beyond the problems and the ticking of the clock. If we don’t think about this, we will wander like a ship aimlessly.

If we take the risk to be happy, to take a turn and with full awareness we work for our causes, we will understand that we are here to fulfill a purpose, and that precisely this path is the one that will make us truly happy. God bless us!

SHORT REFLECTIONS

* Always keep your feet on the ground, raise your eyes to heaven and allow Jesus to enter your heart. Never get tired of asking Him to clarify the path for you, to mark the star that leads you towards his goals and, above all, to bless you in everything you undertake.

* You don’t always get what you give, but don’t stop helping. Serving those most in need and investing in people are key strategies to access the thousands of blessings that life itself offers us. Keep in mind that when you shake someone’s hand you are shaking it with yourself.

* The past can ‘prickle’ and poison you like a scorpion’s stinger, which strikes from your back. I don’t understand why some have that incredible facility to spend all day reliving events that occurred in another era. Cut off the tail of the ‘scorpion’ from your past!

* Your life is more beautiful when you don’t try to control it and stop following a script; sometimes it is better to allow each day to enjoy the moment of it and that life surprises you. He does what is within his reach, leave the rest in God’s hands.

Concerns frequently assault our state of mind. However, with each question we have one more chance to face a new horizon, either by reasoning or applying healthy strategies for the soul. What are those fears that affect you today? Tell us about them to reflect on it on this page. Send your testimony to Euclides Kilô Ardila at the following email: eardila@vanguardia.com In this column, he himself will respond. Let’s look at today’s case:

Testimony: “It will seem strange to you that at my age, 45, I tell you that I don’t know what to do with my world. I feel lost and I don’t know why I can’t find the compass that shows me the way to go. This seems very serious to me, because I have lost my way and I am full of doubts. Here between us, I tell you that I have many fears. Give me one of the tips from him. Thank you”.

Answer: Believe it or not, I understand. I know that there are many people who, like you, feel this way. In general, we all have doubts, no matter how old we are, and obviously we can feel insecure in certain situations.

I confess that I myself have gone through those stages in which, as much as I wondered, I didn’t know what I was going to do with my life or with the difficult situation I was going through.

However, today I tell you that every time I feel like this, in addition to raising a prayer to heaven to clarify my path, I also understand that I must put my feet on the ground and, therefore, it is up to me to visualize a hopeful perspective.

Although he does not give me more details of what he is experiencing today, I could tell him that perhaps he is not lost; Suddenly he’s just a little confused. You need to reorder your ideas and take x-rays!

Be careful: fears and those states of indecision, if you are resilient, can be good advisers. I mention it because by feeling this way, as you express to me in your letter, you can make an evaluation yourself and weigh your options carefully. The important thing is that, to some extent, you look in the mirror, calmly assess why you got to that state, and figure out what’s holding you back. If you do, you will be able to emerge victorious from all this, you will strengthen your spirits and you will remake yourself.
