In recent weeks, the Boschi e Sorgenti Latine Aps association was established in the Castelli Romani. It is an association dedicated to the discovery of the most ancient places and paths of Lazio, born from the common spirit of a group of fraternal friends, united by sincere passions that cross apparently different areas, but in reality, in turn, connected, such as hiking, sport and historical-archaeological, sociological and spiritual research.
Among the main aims declared by the association are the search for a new closeness between people and nature and the rebirth of certain perceptive abilities of man, which modern habits of life have partly suppressed. Concepts that are logistically summarized in the rediscovery of the historical-natural paths that have been traced over the centuries in a specific territory, which can be that of Lazio and central Italy, the cradle of millenary cultures such as the Roman, Latin and Etruscan ones. Basically, a slow journey backwards to succeed in the enterprise of arriving at a landing that is really further ahead, to create a renewed idea of livability, compatibility and ecosystem between the human world, animal and natural wood heritage.
In the logo of the association, based on an original design by the master Stefano Piali, the goddess Diana and the nymph Egeria are depicted to frame the symbolic places, between reality and myth, of Monte Cavo and Lake Nemi.
The creator and soul of the group is Silvio Raparelli, 58, from Marino, mid-mountain guide of the National Educational Sports Center (CESN), Nordic walking instructor with the ASC (Confederate Sports Activities), a discipline that Boschi e Sorgenti Latine Aps intends to spread. in the territory, starting with a demonstration event open to citizens and local institutions scheduled for next September.
In the dense wealth of experiences that led Raparelli to the foundation of this associative group integrated with the territory there are also Natural Survival courses by Marco Priori and, above all, numerous experiences of solitary walks along the paths of all Italy and Europe, in particular France, Spain and Portugal and the Camino de Santiago. Raparelli was, therefore, tester of the Natural Path of the Parks, which connects the 7 green lungs present in the territories between Rome and L’Aquila: Regional Parks of Appia Antica, Castelli Romani, Monti Simbruini and Monti Lucretili; Reserve of the Duchess; Cervia and Navegna Reserve; Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park).
Two appointments are being organized in September, of which dates and methods of participation will soon be communicated, with the aim of presenting the particular discipline of Nordic walking on Mount Tusculum to local institutions and sportspeople and a demonstration excursion in the woods that lap the territories of Ariccia, Rocca di Papa and Nemi.
