Boscaro and Cianfoni at the Summer book festival

On Friday evening the protagonists of the Crescentino Summer book festival played at home.

Riccardo Boscaro with “Viola” and Giuseppe Paolo Cianfoni and “My first tutu” entertained the audience by revealing a lot of themselves.

The evening, conducted by Piero Spotti of Grappolo di Libri in Acqui Terme, unfolded among themes of great depth present in the authors’ books: passion, spirituality, friendship.

“Passion is something that also exists unconsciously in each of us – says Cianfoni – for many people it is a universe yet to be explored because today the situation we are experiencing tends to crush passion and feelings, passion is the spiritual state that raises the ‘human being”.

Another common denominator between the two books is reality.

“I did studies for which I dreamed of designing bridges and roads then I found myself a farmer, a hard job – explains Boscaro – writing comes in full lockdown, in a very sad period of my life. it really happened, then I adapted everything to the novel and the thoughts were translated into a story “.

“The lockdown was good for someone, we found ourselves alone – confirms Cianfoni – the word in vogue was resilience as an adaptation to new situations but I don’t know how adaptable the new generations will be. It is not my first book but mine. first novel, the previous ones were technical manuals. They are real life situations, born in the dance school “.

The performance of the students of Lisa Parpariola’s Moon dance school created much applauded intervals, between the stories of rice cultivation and the first timid steps of a boy in love with classical dance.

“In those years there were many prejudices against dancers. My first approach to movement was gymnastics and athletics. I started my adventure with dance, keeping the tights hidden in the athletics bag – adds Cianfoni. – Then I had a surprise from my friends from the Coni field: they came to see my first essay by cheering on the stadium “.

Among the pages of Boscaro’s book there are adventure, action, intrigue, feelings such as friendship, righteousness, brotherhood, a sense of duty and love, each paragraph of this story draws heavily on real experiences, naturally fictional.

“I have Valle d’Aosta origins, I have been passionate about the mountains since I was a child – explains Boscaro – when I left to do my military service I lived the year with difficulty, it was real hard work, I was in the military seriously. The characters are real, what happens in the book I had to go looking for him, I researched because the armaments, the means of transport, are more modern than I remember. I think that war, even if I have only made it simulated, is something that men should reject without any kind of doubt. We must find in people the aspects that unite “.

Cianfoni says: “Dance is a choral work, in 1984 in the theater we were almost 1000 employees, choir, orchestra, all the artistic and then the technical part, up to the superintendent, if only one of these people does not know how to do his job machine jams. The dance rises towards the universe, tends to defy the laws of nature, especially that of gravity, and brings us closer to God “.
