What to do this weekend ? The drafting of website “actu.fr/lot” has selected ideas for outings from April 7 to 9, 2023.

Easter concert in Rocamadour

On Sunday April 9, theTogether the Sportelleconducted by Laetitia Corcelle and accompanied by Emmeran Rollin on the organ, will give an Easter Concert at the Saint-Sauveur Basilica at 4 p.m., as part of the seasonal events at the Rocamadour Festival.

The Ensemble la Sportelle is happy to reconnect in 2023 with the great event of Easter concerts, this founding moment which has inspired so many masterpieces. Two absolute masters of sacred music make up this concert: one from the Spanish Renaissance, Tomás Luis de Victoria, and the other, the master of German Baroque, Johann Sebastian Bach. These two composers have dedicated their lives to the musical expression of spirituality. It’s so palpable that while they were written more than 300 years ago in societies that no longer have much to do with our current lives, these musics continue to touch us directly.

Every year the Rocamadour Festival organizes concerts in season for Lot residents. Privileged and intimate moments, heralding the August festivities. This year, the Dulci Jubilo chamber choir directed by Christopher Gibert, created in Rocamadour 10 years ago, does us the honor of coming to celebrate its decade at the Basilica on Saturday May 6th. To close the season’s events, the organist Emmeran Rollin will give his traditional recital on June 10, with music by Bach, also at the Basilica.

Easter concert on Sunday April 9 at 4 p.m. in the Basilica of Saint-Sauveur in Rocamadour. Prices: from €15 to €20, free for children under 12. Reservation on 06 52 74 01 06 or on www.rocamadourfestival.com

“Loto” by Baptiste Amann in Alvignac and Sousceyrac-en-Quercy

Friday April 7 at 8:30 p.m. at Espace Samayou in Alvignac and Saturday April 8 at 8:30 p.m. at the village hall in Sousceyrac-en-Quercy.

He is the star of provincial village halls. The king of lotto evenings, which he hosts with fantasy and brilliance. She is his daughter. She went to live in town. A chasm has grown between them. But now, the young woman is back in the village to shoot a documentary. Is this finally the opportunity to discover each other?

Adept at shifting the traditional boundaries of theater and the joy of immersion, Rémy Barché invites us to a veritable bingo. Except that the lotto evening is disrupted, with frenzied Madisons, by a group of ballroom dancers convinced of having priority over the rental of the party hall… We let ourselves be carried away in this atmosphere of musical comedy, to savor the both demanding and accessible writing by Baptiste Amann. Intimate and political questions intertwine to lead us to the essentials and to the rapprochement of beings. With Arnaud Jolibois-Bichon, Bénédicte Mbemba and a group of volunteers recruited in each place.
