Ambiente Mare Italia, guided tours this year also to Certosa di Trisulti and Alatri | www.linquisquotidiano.it

Ambiente Mare Italia’s guided tours return to Rome and Lazio to discover cultural and naturalistic beauties. AMI in recent years has allowed many Romans to discover or rediscover forgotten or little-known places in the city of Rome and Lazio. “There are over 60 archaeological sites, places of art and wonders of nature that thousands of citizens have been able to visit thanks to the AMI Cultura and AMI Natura projects – declares Alessandro Botti”, president of Ambiente Mare Italia. And he adds: “We are pleased to present again this year the new AMI catalog with a wide choice of guided tours also for the most sporty, nature lovers and outdoor walks”. Below are the next scheduled events: 22 OCTOBER – SUBIACO With a visit to the Sacro Speco and the Monastery of Santa Scolastica we will discover one of the oldest and most historic villages in Lazio: Subiaco. A place where you can still breathe a medieval air, rich in history and references to Roman culture. OCTOBER 30 – ROME, VILLA TORLONIA We will walk to Villa Torlonia and visit the Main Casino, the Casino Nobile and the Casina delle Civette, a pearl surrounded by greenery with its liberty style and the magic of its furnishings. We will also visit the Theater of Villa Torlonia, unique of its kind for its particular architectural structure and for its mosaics, frescoes and paintings. 5 NOVEMBER – THE CERTOSA DI TRISULTI AND ALATRI We will immerse ourselves in the centuries-old forests of the Agro Pontino on a journey through history, spirituality and nature with visits to the Certosa di Trisulti, in the municipality of Collepardo and Alatri.

The program of events organized by Ambiente Mare Italia continues: 13 NOVEMBER – SUTRI AND THE VIA FRANCIGENA Trekking boot and off we go for an exciting and suggestive ring excursion to discover the ancient city of Sutri with its entirely excavated Roman amphitheater in the tuff, the Necropolis and the Vie Cave. We will walk among hazelnut and chestnut groves and the wonderful mixed oak forest before returning to the historic center of Sutri. NOVEMBER 20 – ROME TRASTEVERE AND TIBER ISLAND The Tiber, silent spectator of the history of Rome, was vital for the expansion of the city and the economic growth of the Empire. Our guide will accompany you to discover a hidden and unusual Trastevere. 27 NOVEMBER – ROME, CENTRALE MONTEMARTINI There are examples of how the mixture of past and recent history has made the culture of Rome even more important. Centrale Montemartini is one of these. We will discover it together. 4 DECEMBER – ROME AND ITS JEWISH GHETTO With a “particular walk” through culture, history, religion, architecture and art we will go back in time and try to hear and imagine the typical smells and flavors of the Jewish quarter.
