New graphics, additional content, use designed for mobile devices. The new version of VisitSicily is online (www.visitsicily.info), the official tourist portal of the Sicilian Region. The site has been redesigned both in terms of graphics, with a more modern and elegant design, and navigation, made simpler and more intuitive and created in a “mobile first” key, that is, optimized for smartphones and tablets. VisitSicily is also available in four languages: in addition to Italian and English, also French and Spanish. A valid support both when choosing the travel destination and during the holiday, like a real pocket digital guide.
Offer for Italians and foreigners

The new portal was created by the Regional Tourism Department thanks to the resources of the Fesr Sicilia 2014 – 2020. The restyling, through a public custody procedure, was carried out by the IT company Inera Srl of Pisa, specialized in the creation of portals for tourism for regions and territories.
A storytelling of beauty
The contents of the portal have all been revised in the language so as to standardize the storytelling of the beauties to be discovered on our island. In addition, over 100 new contents have been produced regarding attractions, places, flavors, curiosities, traditions and itineraries. All the contents have been georeferenced for a presentation on a map and have been organized according to a new rationalized classification both to meet the needs of tourists and for territorial promotion purposes. About 400 new photographs have been added. The internal search engine has also been enhanced to allow tourists to immediately find what interests them. Both the graphics and the contents have been designed and created in a “seo friendly” key, that is, to be easily indexed by search engines and shared on social networks.

After the service and menu links, the VisitSicily homepage opens with a panoramic banner on the territory that will be changed according to events and seasons.
