Your Kingdom: the new fantasy web

– What is your background ?
– I started in the theater as an actor with training at the Conservatoire National à Rayonnement Régional in Nice. On leaving the conservatory, I created my theater company, Adapt’Art, where I was a director. Subsequently, the Theater no longer nourished me and I left this artistic field. I went into painting and comics and this path gradually guided me towards writing and audiovisual production. Being a director allows me to unify my skills and return to my first love: fantasy, with the aim of making the viewer travel. So I created the production company: Winker Films with the project of the fantasy web-series Your Kingdom, which I wrote and which I wish to direct.

– Precisely, your past achievements and productions?

– During my experience in the theater, I staged adaptations of classic works such as Cinna by Corneille, Antoine and Cleopatra by William Shakespeare or Faust by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. Some of these plays were epic stories, which is a genre that I really like, but I lacked the cinematic dimension. I have always had a very visual approach to my artistic creations and that is why I want to produce this web-series Your Kingdom, which will be my first official production in the audiovisual sector.

– Tell us about this project

– The story of Your Kingdom takes place in the world of Nucrea where the people of humans are facing a threat. An unknown enemy attacks villages leaving no survivors. The only survivor is a knight, Ristane, who survived under mysterious circumstances with no memory of this event. He will be led to investigate this threat and his path will lead him to revelations that will turn his life upside down, going back to his origins and those of his world. This story speaks of the quest for peace, inside and within a society, through an initiatory, epic, philosophical and spiritual adventure which addresses other themes, such as beliefs, disillusions, death, change and love. Having grown up with great saga like The Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Jurassic Park or even Harry Potter, I want to go in the continuity of these works and offer viewers a blockbuster like we knew during this period. cinematographic. – How did the idea come to you?

– The idea started to appear in Corsica during my childhood. This island was a great source of inspiration, which made me want to realize, one day, a legendary adventure, with a whole mythology. The years passed and it was in 2016 that I started writing my project. The writing took place over five years until the end of 2021. Corsica continued to inspire me with this land rich in history and mystery, with many legends and myths. Much of the origin of their symbols and culture remain enigmas, with different versions depending on the stories. This is what I wanted to transcribe in the world of Nucréa. The landscapes too, like those of this universe, give the impression of having been deconstructed and sculpted, giving a unique charm to these places. This is why I want to shoot scenes from the series in Corsica, which for me is obvious. Its places have decorations that resemble those of Nucréa. These are perfect places to shoot fantasy and I want to highlight all this richness in fiction.

– How will your project materialize?
