Here are the main events scheduled in the city from Monday 31 October to Friday 4 November 2022.

Start the Turin Art Week with a number of contemporary art fairs in the city. Dario Argento at the Turin Cinema Museum

Dario Argento – The Exhibit is the first major exhibition dedicated to the master of cinema, director, screenwriter and producer. To complete the homage, the homonymous documentary is released and will be screened on Monday 31 October at 9 pm, in the presence of the director Andrea Dezzi, the curators of the exhibition and the Maestro Dario Argento.

Back To Bach: Bach’s Matthew Passion at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory

Now in its seventh edition, the Back TO Bach festival project this year brings together many projects and musical paths that have their roots in previous editions. It will finally be realized the Passion according to Matthew, planned since before the pandemic following the great success achieved in 2019 by Johannes Passion. Around this event, which alone enhances and makes every musical season precious, there are other new initiatives.
The iconic value of the Passion according to Matthew derives directly from the fact that no other score in the entire symphonic-choral repertoire is so interwoven with profound spirituality.

Wednesday 2nd November

One night in Paratissima

Wednesday 2 November Club Silencio takes you to Paratissima Circus 2022 on the occasion of the Turin Art Week. In the beautiful setting of the Cavallerizza Reale, you can discover the works of over 200 artists thanks to 9 thematic exhibitions and 7 special projects. During the event, DJ sets, gamification activities and much more.

“Pasolini, an Italian crime”, Comala Film Festival

The first appointment with the “Pasolini 100” review will be held on Wednesday 2 November, organized in collaboration with the National Cinema Museum Association. The film in programming is “Pasolini, an Italian crime” (1995, MT Giordana).
The film addresses, in a documentary halfway between reconstruction and fiction, the unresolved question of the death of Pier Paolo Pasolini, with particular attention to the trial of Pino Pelosi, initially accused of the director’s murder.

Thursday 3 November

James Taylor concert at the Colosseum Theater

James Taylor & All Star Band will take to the stage of the Colosseo Theater on Thursday 3 November 2022. They will play the most loved hits and in particular they will pay tribute to his twentieth album, American Standarda collection of covers of the Great American Songbook with which he won his sixth Grammy Award.

Vernissage with Bruno Casetta for Diffusissima

Among the events of this week in Turin there is also Diffusissima, the first fuorisalone of the week of art. It is a path of Diffuse Art out of the common places that arises from the need to rethink the canonical places of art.
On 3 November, as part of the event, the headquarters of Banco di Credito P. Azzoaglio will be opened to the public for the first time. A special Open House in which to visit the exhibition of the artist Bruno Casetta with Dj Set to accompany the evening. Affini will also be present with its selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails and Pepino, the historic Piedmontese brand.

Cristina D’Avena feat. Gem Boy in Venaria Reale (TO)

The Mountain Touch – Inauguration at the National Mountain Museum

Friday 4 November inaugurates the new exhibition of the National Mountain Museum. Starting from a series of researches that are producing scientific evidence of the positive impact of nature on our biological and psychological level, The Mountain Touch opens up to a series of questions. What impact will the ongoing environmental devastation have on our health? How to resort to ecotherapy to cope with eco-alienation?
The exhibition presents the works of 14 Italian and international artists, in dialogue with a scientific narrative by the researchers of the Institute for BioEconomy of the National Research Council.
The exhibition expands with the work of the artist Zheng Bo exhibited as part of the exhibition “Buddha10. Fragments, drifts and refractions of the Buddhist visual imaginary ”, at the MAO Oriental Art Museum in Turin until 2023.
