UCSD and Multimedios Vida agree to continue promoting Christian values ​​through education

EL NUEVO DIARIO, SANTO DOMINGO.- The Universidad Católica Santo Domingo (UCSD) and Los Multimedios Vida of the Archdiocese of Santo Domingo signed to continue promoting Christian values ​​through education, social communication and culture.

The agreement was signed in the oval room of the UCSD Octavio Antonio Cardenal Beras Rojas Library, by its rector, Monsignor Ramón Benito Ángeles Fernández, and by the director of Multimedios Vida, Reverend Father Kennedy Rodríguez, a press release reported this Friday.

The signing of an agreement between the university and Multimedios Vida of the Archdiocese of Santo Domingo, made up of: Televida, channel 41; Vida 105.3 FM, Radio ABC 540 AM, Diario Católico and the Office of Communication and Press, also has the objective of exchanging experiences, strengthening their relationships and institutional capacities, so they are supported within the framework of Synodality, who commit to offer the communicational contribution to the extent of the means available and in accordance with the rules of each institution.

The initial words of prayer to place the activity in the hands of our God and invoke his presence were given by Deacon Rafael Díaz, administrative director of the Santo Domingo Catholic University.

In the motivational words of Monsignor Francisco Ozoria Acosta, he highlighted the importance of walking together with the spirituality of Synodality, seeking unity and that he wanted to promote the concept of communion, because the church is a mystery of communion and we are working in that order . He also recalled what this year’s pastoral letter on “Synodality” invites, stressing that it is the identity of the church and must be visible, so that we walk together. He congratulated those who have worked for this to be achieved with mutual collaboration and closed by giving his blessing.

While Father Kennedy Rodríguez explained that Multimedios Vida is the governing body of the media, made up of: Televida (Channel 41), the radio stations: Vida (105.3 FM), Radio ABC (540 AM) and the portal News website Diario Católico.

He said that its purpose is to channel in a unified way all the central policies, strategies and executive actions of the Archdiocese of Santo Domingo, related to evangelization through the media. In order to generate joint strategies and synergies between the media of the Archdiocese of Santo Domingo, we outline the grouping of the same under the name of Multimedios Vida de la Arquidiocese de Santo Domingo.

For his part, Ramón Benito Ángeles Fernández, highlighted the phrase of Saint John of the Gospel where it says “That all be one”, as a response to the ideal of the church and society, he defined this agreement that is a work that has been being done and carried out to praxis, focused on the growth and vision of all participating institutions, highlighted the words of Bishop Ozoria as archbishop encouraging Synodality and added that we must add to walking together that “Let’s walk together as brothers.”

As a result of this agreement, a TV program broadcast by all Multimedios Vida will begin, which will be produced by everyone, contributing to social communication students and strengthening each other, he added.
