This weekend in Paris… from June 17 to 19

A tale that paints the portrait of two twin brothers from a poor background who will become at the end of the 20th century one of the greatest fortunes in Great Britain. But when they have triumphed over everything, what happens when, in 1990, these two billionaires settled on the Channel Islands of Brecqhou want to inherit their respective daughters?
Through their self-taught journey, it is a hollow story of capitalism that is told before our eyes. It is also the exceptional destiny of two stigmatized kids who become cold and selfish monsters at the heart of our democratic societies.

In this exhibition, associated with the Collectif du 9e Concept, he had already been inspired by the man who is called “the spiritual father of street art in France”, taking as a reference his famous series of paintings Balises for Angela Davies from 1971, preserved at the Le Touquet Museum.

To accompany this weekend in music…

It is with the Canadian artist Jasmine who released his first solo album In The Wild on June 3 on the ANTI-Records label.

As the frontman of Weaves, Jasmyn has been on tour for almost ten years. Over the course of their career, the band has been nominated twice for the Polaris Prize, twice for the JUNO Award for Alternative Album of the Year and twice for the SOCAN Songwriting Award. The quartet has performed around the world, including at the Glastonbury Festival, and their work has received critical acclaim from the press, including Pitchfork, NPR, The Guardian and Elton John’s Rocket Hour. When Jasmyn leaves the band in 2020, it’s an opportunity for her to slow down and build her own space, away from the hustle and bustle of touring and the hustle and bustle of the big city. Leaving Toronto, she moved to Hamilton, where the calm that emanates from Lake Ontario and a sensitive and thoughtful way of life encourage her to breathe and immerse herself in the great outdoors. Listening to her sensations, barefoot in the grass, carried by the feeling of freedom offered by nature, Jasmyn then designs a portal for new energies and new possibilities.
